Last week our dedicated volunteer team of vets and assistants headed to Porac for a mobile spay and neuter clinic.

These events are essential in reaching the people and pets who need us most.
We can't do this without resources supplied in kind or from generous donations.

BFF's Dixie & Bantay. Dogs rescued together, stay together 🥰
This pair were owned for the purpose of guarding their owner's property.
Ill handled and under loved, the pair became aggressive towards the owner, so they relinquished the dogs to IWCT.
Now they are happy, friendly, affectionate dogs - but still share a special bond and look out for each other. A sad reminder of their mistreated past.
Dixie and Bantay will stay at IWCT together. You can support them by sponsoring one.

The Bini Aiah Fans Club visited our Treatment Centre this week!

Bini is a girl group who is hooooot in the Philippines. Aiah is one of their members and she chose IWCT as her beneficiary as part of the anniversary celebrations of her fans club.

Thank you so much for your generosity - the rescue dogs are so lucky! We loved having you and your guests at the Centre, come back anytime!

The dedication of our Volunteer Vet Team!
Comprising Vets, Students and assistants, every week our team give up their time to help the dogs and cats of the Philippines through our free spay and neuter programme.
In doing so they are reducing disease, preventing unwanted puppies and controlling the pet population, one spay at a time.

Thank you to Jelly from Pet Aid Veterinary Clinic for spaying Ilay, one of Josie's dogs.
Josie is a friend to IWCT. Despite being homeless with very little possessions, she cares greatly for the street dogs she has adopted and calls her own.
As a responsible pet owner, Josie sees the importance of spaying and neutering, but is without the financial means to self fund the procedure.
IWCT have agreed to pay the veterinary fees for her eight dogs to be spayed at Pet Aid, which is more local to Josie than the IWCT Treatment Centre.
You can help support Josie and her kindness too, by making a donation. There are more dogs waiting their turn for their spay, your donation will really help keep these street dogs from coming into trouble from other roaming dogs.

Josie lives on this cart. These are the dogs she has adopted from the street.
Any dog food parcels she receives, she shares with other homeless dog owners.
IWCT is paying for her dogs to be spayed.

Check out Cooper strutting his stuff on his lead walk!

Lead walking is an essential part of a rescue dog's rehabilitation. As a stray, they have been allowed to roam. We discourage roaming at IWCT because:

- It can cause traffic accidents
- The dogs can trespass and get attacked by humans and other dogs
- It can lead to unwanted pregnancies
- It can spread rabies and other diseases

Keep your dog secure in a yard with shelter, a crate inside or kennel outside or a room in your house and exercise it every day on a lead. Only go off lead if your dog comes back when it is called, the place allows dogs to be off lead, there's no traffic and it's not too busy.

Here in the UK we are currently in the midst of school summer holidays!
In the Philippines, schools have just returned - that means visits from IWCT will soon re-start!
We love going into schools and teaching the children about Responsible Pet Ownership and Rabies Awareness.

Friday is very proud to show you his progress pics!

Look at his beautiful coat coming through and steady weight gain!

He is still in isolation whilst he grows in strength and finishes his vaccination regime. Soon he will start socialising with the other rescue dogs for the next stage of his rehabilitation.
