This morning I had the pleasure of sponsoring the first prizes and the Best in Show rosette for the Sutton Feast fun dog show. The show was judged by two vets from Milton Vets. It was a lovely relaxed show with fab dogs. Here are the winners. Thanks to my sister Allisons crafts for the mugs that were for the first prize winners and to Sam Tydeman of Karingal Rosettes for the Best in Show rosette.

Morning, like many of you will know if you are local. The mobile signal around me is mostly non existent due to the fire at the Haddenham water tower that houses the phone masts. Calls are going straight to voice mail, when I can receive them the caller can’t here me. Texts are taking forever to send as well. For anyone that have dogs with long ears, are you fed up with them dipping in their dinner, bringing home debris from a walk, or dragging in the unmentionable? Well maybe a snood would help. These are lightweight, made from cotton. They pass over the dogs head and you just tuck the ears in, keeps the ears clean in all sorts of situations. Also protects their ears from grass seeds and that season is fast approaching. I have them in the salon, can be made in different sizes and are just £5. If you’d like one or two just let me know. Here are some lovely models.

I’ve seen a few posts in the last week or so of dogs being spooked by fireworks while out walking and slipping their collars. Please make sure your dogs collar cannot come off over their heads. Check it before you take them out, if you can take your dogs collar off without undoing it, they will be able to slip out of it. Stay safe xx

An old tired-looking dog wanders into a guy's yard. He examines the dog's collar and feels his well-fed belly and knows the dog has a home.
The dog follows him into the house, goes down the hall, jumps on the couch, gets comfortable and falls asleep. The man thinks its rather odd, but lets him sleep. After about an hour the dog wakes up, walks to the door and the guy lets him out. The dog wags his tail and leaves.
The next day the dog comes back and scratches at the door. The guy opens the door, the dog comes in, goes down the hall, jumps on the couch, gets comfortable and falls asleep again. The man lets him sleep. After about an hour the dog wakes up, walks to the door and the guy lets him out. The dog wags his tail and leaves.
This goes on for days. The guy grows really curious, so he pins a note on the dog's collar: "Your dog has been taking a nap at my house every day."
The next day the dog arrives with another note pinned to his collar: "He lives in a home with four children -- he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?' 😊
