Lexi has been playing impulse control games at our today’s session!
One of the games It’s Your Choice is more then a game- it is a training concept that would really shift your dogs thought process and will change the way you train your dog - from the imposed control to self control in the the most challenging and distracting environments.the game is about controlling your dogs choice rather then controlling your dog..

We teach this game in our puppy classes as well, if you have a new pup you are welcome to join our Puppy Academy Class , next one starting on a 9th November.

The importance of those early learning experiences can’t be underestimated, it does set your pup up for adult life! Careful exposure to different environments, textures, sounds, smells, tastes, surfaces is ever so important as much as positive experiences with humans and dogs. Every experience has to have a positive outcome to help your pups confidence flourish! My girl got a little anxious about noise and separation anxiety whilst I was away so Halyna from Sniff and Learn K9 Academy set this up especially for her in our barn 🙏 I have been training her every day and she is slowly dealing with her anxiety and making the right choices 😃 You can see in the video's that she still hears them but instead of panicking, she makes the right choice & continues with finding the scent. At first I had to stay close to her but in the other video I could sit on a chair 👏 I'm so so proud of this girl, she is a rescue from Portugal who was found in a bin with her 2 siblings. Her siblings got adopted fairly quickly but because she was a nutter she stayed behind.....
