I just adore this Rommie rescue.

She’s a tough nut to crack. However, with lots of understanding, patience, love, bum scratches and most importantly snacks (got to be the right snacks though) she’s absolutely delicious. I’m in her VIP club and I love it. She’s got lots of love to give ❤️🐾

We’re seeing how it goes with Charlie the African Grey being a more permanent fixture.

Bingo the original grey and resident of Soph’s Strolls HQ becomes quite stressed and plucks when both the other greys go back home.

So we’re going to see how Charlie & Bingo get on living together and if Charlie isn’t too missed back at home he’ll even the numbers out here 😂🦜🫶🏻

It’s been a busy couple of months.

We’ve also had this little lady stop by for a couple of weeks.

Its been animal farm once again for a while with, 3 dogs, 3 birds, 1 adult child (myself 😆) 1 adult and 2 kids in what feels a tiny house when everyone’s in it 😂

Just to clarify, I don’t do dog sitting or boarding.
This is a family dog that comes to stay occasionally 🥰🐾

Going back to the days when it was to hot for walks.

We worked on this one’s impulse to dart out the front door when the opportunity arose.

I’m not a trainer, nor do I claim to be.
We just did the basics and worked on being in the house rewarding and valuable.

Armed with high value treats, plenty of fuss and praise for simply not choosing to run out the door. Or choosing to sit by me and ignoring the door.
He was safe and secure at all times and we built this up slowly over a few days.

This won’t be a quick fix, and it may not be enough. However, I do try to make myself useful while we’re confined for house/garden visits 🥰🐾
