**🚫CANCELLATION POLICY🚫**
As of 1st December 2023, I will have a new cancellation policy in place.
Any lessons cancelled once booked in for the coming week will be charged at 50%. Any lessons cancelled on the day will be charged at full lesson price!
If the reason for cancelling can not be helped, i.e., injury or illness to the horse or extreme and unsafe riding conditions, then there will be no cancellation fee needed.

Some really great work coming together from Megan & Enzo. I have spent the last 9/10 weeks schooling Enzo, and now we are getting Megan on board to continue to ride Enzo the way I have been doing. He previously hasn't done much schooling work, so he's in theory a few years behind so we have started from scratch, and it's all paying off now. Megan is getting stronger and stronger with every lesson. Getting more and more out of Enzo with each ride, as you can tell by these pictures! Again, it's a new learning process for Megan, and its so exciting watching the progress between them both 😁 Dressage tests pending I think.....🤔😜🙌🐴

I have recently started breaking my homebred 4yo sport horse. Brax. I will keep updating his progress (This page only allows me to post 1 video at a time! 🙄) As you can see he's taking it all in his stride. Very exciting time for me to think he started from just an idea in my head to being born to now being ridden!
I'm so lucky to be on a yard with amazing facilities! And to have brilliant care from Bev and Lesley who will always do anything they can to help! 🥰🫶

I have to do a shout-out to some of my clients who are out having a fun and successful time competing! 😁🏆🎉

1. First up, we have Mo & Oreo. As you can tell by the photo, they are having a highly successful time in the show ring, this particular time winning all their classes and taking champion 🥳 This cracking little pair can turn their hooves to any discipline, and are bringing the ribbons home showjumping also! They even competed at the Great Yorkshire show recently! 😁

2. Hannah & Gruff have been out a couple of times a month showjumping. Getting stronger and stronger each time, as a pair, with Hannahs riding and understanding of how to ride Gruff, and Gruff getting more comfortable with different fillers. They have been regularly placed in 60 & 70cm and are now taking on the 80cm, already being placed! 🙌

3. Next, we have our new dressage divas, Ashley & Jackson. The pair have recently taken to competing a couple of times a month in Intro tests. Coming 2nd both times!! The progress they are making is amazing to watch, and I think next year we will be tackling the prelim tests. They have been out tonight competing, and I'm sure a red one is just around the corner!! 😬🤞

4. Stacey & Lottie are our head turners. Lottie is a Belgian draft horse, so she certainly gets the crowd looking in her direction. They have been to a few in hand shows and have also placed, bringing some ribbons home! Now Lottie isn't your typical horse you expect to see in the show ring and might not be everyone's cup of tea in that industry but they have gone and had fun and success at the same time which is what its all about. Both first-time showers so couldn't be happier 😊

5. Now I could write an essay about these two and some of the dramas and spectaculars we've had, but I'll keep it short and sweet 😅 Lauren & Apollo (custard pie/cream/tart) have been showing doing both ridden and in hand. Unfortunately, Apollo has other ideas about what he should be doing in the show ring and likes to show his acrobatic and pony racing side 😆🙈 But Lauren has done an amazing job of not only staying on but keeping as much control of him as possible. It has improved her riding very well also, and they have still managed to place and bring some rosettes home. If only he could keep 4 feet on the floor! 🙄🤣

6. Holly & Jim only did their first in hand show last weekend. With some very big classes, they did brilliantly and managed to place and bring home some rosettes! We only had a little run-through a few days before on what we should be doing so i think Holly did a fantastic job and can only improve from this. She has recently started jumping, and we will be working towards some ridden shows and jumping soon I'm sure! 😁

A big well done to all of these guys who have been busy recently putting in the hard work! I'm sure fun is being had by all what is 100% the main thing! 🤩🎉

This horse has given me headache, arm ache, and soul ache over the past 11 months 😅 but it's appreciation post time! 🥳
Opti has been one of the strongest and numbest (in the mouth) horse I have ridden. He is extremely capable, but his head strong attitude and anxiousness have been a lot to keep together over the past year of working with him, and the fact he stands over 18hh tall. There has been times when I have questioned my capabilities with this horse and if I can progress him but luckily Lucie & Andrew have stood by me and put faith and trust in me and I can finally say (fingers crossed 🤞) that I think we've turned a corner. All I have been working on with him is for him to just be softer in his mouth and relax through the contact rather than being strong and heavy, learning it is a much nicer place to be in all round! With the help of a bit specialist, he is in a stronger bit, unfortunately, but it is needed at the moment. It comes with a second rein, but thankfully, we rarely need to reach for it unless extreme circumstances 😅🙃
The past few weeks I have managed to get Opti to a place where he is feeling softer and lighter in the mouth and hand and carrying himself now. I had wondered if we would ever get there, but I'm really hoping this continues, and we can keep going up and up!! 😁💪

Seeing some huge improvement in Ashley & Jackson over the past few weeks! Jackson can have a cheeky tendency to nap at the gate, and we now have Ashley confident enough, strong enough and sharp enough to react to him and ride him through! Resulting in their flat work blossoming. So much so that we are now working towards their first dressage test!! 😬 I cant wait to watch the progress! Keep it going Ashley!! Doing it for the Boys!! 💪

Fantastic evening last night in the Cross-Country field with Phanta & Becca. Lots of confidence from both hirse and rider. Phanta is prone to a dirty stop, so it's a case of being one step ahead of him to try and prevent this, what Becca achieved with every fence! Resulting in no dirty stops!! 😂👏🥳 We also used my Coach/Rider head set what was so helpful in situations like this, meaning we could communicate to each other from afar without me losing my voice or screaming into the wind! 😅

I shouldn't have favourites, but this pony has to be one of them! Hes every child/teenagers dream pony. Fun, pretty, cheeky and talented when he puts his mind to it. Lauren & Apollo (Custard pie/Custard tart/Custard cream🤗) are going from strength to strength with their flat work. When I first started teaching them, schooling was a struggle and they felt they had hit a brick wall. But now we are getting big smiles from Lauren with a new understanding of what she's feeling for and how to go about it correctly. And much more consistent work from Apollo. Love this little duo!! 😁💛🐴 Keep it going 💪

First day riding off the lunge for Hunter. Very recently broken 4yo Section D. Taking it all in his stride with a hint of attitude at times. He's moving well and feels very balanced at this stage. Great horse in the making pending.....🐴🤠

Great jumping lesson today in the sunshine with Hannah & Gruffalo at Martingale Farm. Gruff is a very laid back boy and will only put in the effort he has to 😂😂 But today he really came alive, making a lovely shape and much more forwards into and away from his fences. Hannah is going from strength to strength with her riding and Gruff is just the best horse for her as he will only give what the rider puts in and she really is knowing the buttons she needs to push!! Very exciting partnership 😁

A slightly warm but very productive lesson today from Becca & Phanta. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?!?! At 18yo flat work isn't Phanta's strongest or most comfortable discipline, having mainly been a jumping pony, but the lessons are really coming together as we work on suppleness and flexion through the body. So much so that on Sunday Becca takes her hand to her first dressage competition!! If he goes like he has tonight then we can't ask for more than that!! 😁 Keep it up team!! 💪🐴
