A gorgeous mid shed Akita came in today and had our de shed treatment.
Wow what a difference its making to the coats!

Today Charlie the chocolate labrador was our guinea pig for trying out a new deshed mud pack we bought at crufts.
It gets massaged into a dry coat for 5-15 minutes then rinsed off and then we shampoo as normal.
We are very happy with the results. Pretty much all the dead hair came out in the bath which meant less time with the brush and he also dried a lot faster.
We have asked his mum to let us know how his coat is over the next few days.
It was definitely more healthy looking after and will also be great for his skin.
If you are interested in this treatment it costs £5 on top of the normal groom price.

I've been asked a few times in my life as a dog groomer why do people bring in short hair dogs like labradors?
This is why.....
Short haired dogs can moult just as much as long, more even.

Just a friendly reminder that missed appointments (no shows) are charged at 50%
We have to do this to cover costs. Today I have Paige working on her own. A customer hasn't turned up, I now still need to pay her wages even though we have taken no money 😞

Today we said a teary goodbye to Sooty who is moving to another part of the country.
He's been coming since he was a puppy and we both love him so much.
Sooty recently was Paiges exam dog.
We bought him a pheasant and some treats. ♥️
