Well they say best laid plans and all that

I tried my best but couldn't manage doing anything.

I'm still losing weight and unable to swallow anything but liquid. I'm seeing my surgeon specialist tomorrow at Blackpool hospital.
Fingers crossed. It's now six weeks since my Birthday Femoral Bypass.

From 13st I'm now just under 10.1/5st and no energy at all

Boy it's becoming a long haul

UPDATE. Blooming heck, I've been so busy recently here doing Carrion Crows, Rooks, Magpies, Jays, Jackdaws ect, extremely long days here at Morecambe Taxidermy. I've about 14 done so far and more to do yet and I should be able to put a few pictures up on here soon once they have dried and been displayed, just a bit of tweaking yet and they are good to go.. I do a local car boot here which I've done now for quite a few years so I'm building up my stock especialy for it. I will be offering everything for sale on very reduced rates and I mean VERY REDUCED.. I doubt you will find them cheaper anywhere else. Its for that DAY ONLY.. But there is a catch. lol You will have to visit me on site to get the amazing reduced offers of my work and I will not take any orders for posting out prior.. I will let you know when I will be going and also put pictures of what will be for sale on that day. I will put all the information up on here when I'm going as it has to be a fine days forecast with little wind. You will be able to grab a BARGAIN. It will be possibly July, August. I'm on a roll.😁 Having the weekend off then back to it on Monday.
Not bad, seven done in 2.5 days. Just a bit of tweaking on feathers yet. At least it's good drying weather, well for now.

After three months of recovery since my operation I'm going to be getting back to the work I love best. My Taxidermy, yehhhh.
It's been a long haul but I can't wait.
Spent the afternoon doing a few bases and defrosting a Carrion and a Magpie for tomorrow.
For anyone interested in purchasing any simply message me.
It's going to be mainly Carrions and Magpies for the next few weeks.

UPDATE

Well on the mend and looking forward to getting back into my Taxidermy work.
It's been like forever not being able to do it. So blooming frustrating.

Just physio soon and hopefully I will get the go ahead.

Loads of Carrions and Magpies just come in so it should keep me busy for a few weeks

One of my pet hates in Taxidermy is those skins covered in fat. Ducks, Mink etc. It takes me ages to remove it all. If you dont then there is trouble later.
Well my son has been watching Youtube all about fleshing Ducks etc and he's made me this Fleshing machine.

It has to be cased over in Perspex yet or fat will be flying everywhere lol

So looking forward to trying it out. Its motor is a 1300rpm out of an old fan and isn't to vicious plus it stops when to much pressure is put on it.. Plus a three speed on it. If it works I will post a video on here showing it working.

So many people have asked me over the years why I dont post out my work? Recently I've started posting out to customers again. I thought, well I will try it again and Boom.. I posted out 5 items to various people and two have not arrived so I've lost a good income and quite a lot of hours work plus postage and packaging costs. On one it said it has been delivered? So what happens now? Nothing.. Has it been pinched off the doorstep? I simply dont know as its happening far to much here and simply costing me...either I offer a refund or replacing that order at my cost. Another one still hasn't arrived after 1 week? Where the hell is it Royal Mail?.. I paid good money for it to be delivered.. So what I'm going to do it sort this out for my customers somehow but its me thats loses out yet again because of our Royal Mail, Oh well...so be it. I will replace the lost items as soon as I can at my cost or refund if I cant.. This is why I hate posting anything. I pay for it to be delivered, tracked ect and some never get there. So sorry to go on about this but this is why I hate posting stuff out. Hope you all understand Kind Regards Mike xx

Hey everyone, hope you're well and enjoying life? Spring is in the air.

At the moment I'm having to take a break to heal a bit more. This old body is a bit slow at the moment 😀 but it will get there eventually lol

Starting Monday I'm going to be doing more Carrion Crows and Magpies, maybe a few Rooks and Jackdaws maybe a few Jays. I'm now getting used to packing things but its still a pain in the *rse, its a blooming difficult thing to do lol. Only taken me years to sort this out. I normally ask for collection only but you guys have convinced me to post out.. lol So I'm learning. Packing materiel is soooo expensive. I will certainly post pics on here and everything will be for sale unless specified. Facebook algorithms dont like you mentioning price in your links so please message me privately if your interested in anything Ive for sale. Later I will be going through my freezer and doing lots more different birds and small mammals, the mind boggles, stay posted all. Some may interest you? Question for you all... Do you like a normal pose or one with the wings out? Anyway after my recent operation I'm now ready to attack my freezers, I'm so bored now.. Should be fun getting back into it..
