Here’s to all the equestrian carer’s keeping our VIP’s warm, fed and watered even if it means getting the one reliable tap on the farm defrosted and bucketing water into the stables when the rest of the pipes are frozen ❄️. See you in a few hours fellow equestrians for another ‘top up’! 💦 🤟🏻

☀️Beating the heat☀️

Measures we take here at Warren Beeches to ensure our lovely residents stay cool and comfortable during these excessive temperatures :

🌞An early start to get all horses in work exercised before the temperature starts ramping up is first priority.

🌞The early start also gives our horses that are stabled over night the chance to get a few extra hours in the paddock before coming in to get away from the rays. Our airy barn with Yorkshire boarding makes for a perfect spot to keep cool and a nice air flow running through.

🌞We also give our lovely residents multiple cold hose downs just to keep them extra comfortable through the very hot hours of the day.

And with our guys that live out 24/7?

🌞If there is no constant shade in the paddock they too come in while it’s cooking outside.

🌞But for the others that have ample shade in their fields; we put extra water and some exciting forage such as haylage spread along the shade to encourage them to stay in the cool! (We all know horses need a little direction from time to time!)

Debut outing for a couple of our babies today. Owen and Mocca did amazingly well coming 3rd in a huge class. While Luca’s excitement with the very busy show brought out his true delinquent side! Hats off to our head girl who’s handling talent really shone through. Keeping Luca as settled as possible with her quiet yet confidence giving manner. We are very proud to have her part of the team 🥰

It has been an absolute pleasure retraining this gent of an exracehorse.
And we have been fortunate enough to be put in touch with lovely who fell in love with him as much as we have.

Our little pony racer Golly looks pretty pleased with her new rug ☺️
It’s that time of year when all the rugs start coming out again. We go to great care to make sure that all our residents have the right weight rug day and night to keep them the perfect toastieness through all the seasons. This year especially testing us with unforecast showers!

Warren Beeches has been blessed with this wonderful horses presence for the past 7 years.
But today we said “ta ta for now” after delivering him to his fabulous new home. Allowing him to make wonderful memories with his new owner.
He will be sorely missed but we look forward to being kept up to date with all the exciting things they will be getting up to. 💞

Day 1 of ‘lockdown’ completed at Warren Beeches. We made the difficult decision to close the yard yesterday to do all we can to help towards these difficult times. Let’s all stick together and follow the guidelines to get our lives back on track as quickly as possible.
We are so lucky to have a fantastic group of liveries who have been very supportive with our decision. We are looking forward to seeing you again soon! 💪🏻🦄💕

Back in Sept 18 our wonderful Josh had wind op surgery. Shortly into his recovery he contracted steroid induced laminitis and his pedal bones were sinking. After 10 heart wrenching months Josh has had his final X-rays. With miraculous results he has been given the go ahead to commence FULL athletic work! Never ending thanks to the wonderful David Scott for his untouchable expertise and friendship who has helped us step by step though all of this. Also to the most amazing farrier and person in my life Joe Rose, it’s fair to say that Josh may not be standing here if it wasn’t for your exceptional work. Also to my daily rock Megan for always being so conscientious in your work and being there to keep spirits up when things are looking gloomy. And finally to all the unnamed people for your support, this outcome would have felt even less achievable if it wasn’t for you!
Now it’s time to get the fat boy back to work! 🤩🐴💞🍾

Must be flexible and carry out all aspects of their work to a high standard. Riding available but not essential. Immediate start. Based between Red Lodge and Kentford.
