This year we will be escaping to North Devon during Boardmaster’s week, from Tuesday 6th August until Monday 12th, back on Tuesday 13th August. We are fully stocked with Nutriment should you need any before we close. Below are a few pics of our growing pup Floki around town ~ not quite a giant yet! 🤔🥰 🐻❄️

❄️⛄️We have had a light sprinkling of snow, so please be careful….we are open as usual today and tomorrow.
‼️Food news ~ The Nutriment delivery came yesterday so we are fully stocked with food. We have lots of lamb puffs!
‼️Grooming news ~ We have almost cleared the backlog of dogs we had to cancel at Christmas and reschedule for January and are currently working through the list for February/March. Please be patient, we will get back to you over the next two days. Also note we are still not taking on new clients.
‼️Puppy news ~ Following our beautiful old boy sadly passing over the bridge last year and us having a very miserable Christmas and new year without him, we welcomed a new family member into our lives two weeks ago. Floki the pup (or polar bear cub!🐻❄️) has brought much joy and healing to us ❤️🩹✨- Here he is seeing snow for the first time this morning! ⛄️ Im sure you’ll all get to meet him when you come next.

Dear all, we have not been able to post till now….
Our dearest boy Axwell, the light of our lives, centre of our universe for 16 years and once in a lifetime dog, passed peacefully over the rainbow bridge on winter solstice morn after a short illness.
It was the best and most loving passing he could’ve possibly had, with us cuddling him at home. Even though we had been expecting it for a long time, because of his age, it still knocked us for six.
We are eternally grateful to have had such a special being in our lives and will never forget the joy and happiness he gave us for so many years. We will miss his beautiful face and funny ways, but he will always live on in all the hearts that ever loved him….so many amazing memories. Ax was full of love, a true gentle legend, who never seemed to age and still looked like a puppy till the end. He loved life and wanted to carry on forever, but his poor brain was tired and finally told him (and us) he needed to rest.
Run free our beloved boy, with all your old mates who’ve gone over before you, till we meet again….
Ps We collected Axwell’s ashes (and giant paw print) from truro yesterday and on our way home a massive rainbow appeared out of the blue and we drove through it with Ax, it was a very special moment 🌈❤️✨🐕🐾

Dear all,
🚙 Last week a few people couldn’t find a space in the village hall car park, due to the kids summer club happening on various days. It’s been fine this week, but in future if there’s no space, you can park across the road by the level crossing, or pub car park.
⏰ 🚂 Also, when dropping off your dog, please do not come 10 minutes early. 20 past the hour is exactly when the train comes and bibs it’s horn very loudly. If you’re waiting to come through the gate at this time it can scare your dog.
We have deliberately made appointment slots at half past the hour to avoid the loudness of the trains.

Also, if you need food, please message first. Thank you! 🐕 Dear all, Axwell’s operation went well, he walked out of the vets ok and is now recovering at home. He’s not out of the woods yet, but it’s looking hopeful. Thank you so much for all the well wishing.…..now for the healing ❤️🩹 🙏🏼✨ Ax is back to the vets on Wednesday evening, so grooming appointments and opening hours for food shouldn’t be affected this week 🤞🏼 Please bear with us if you’re waiting for a response to your message, we will try and get back to everyone in the next couple of days xx
