Can not even begin to express the excitement for Monday and getting to see all the amazing daycare and boarding pups gorgeous faces again 🙌😁🐶💜

By far the best part about being off is seeing the doggies fully buzzing to see all their friends again! It is a rare and beautiful thing to look forward to starting your work again and I am thankful for it everyday 🐶💜🙌

For all daycare enquiries-

Daycare is currently FULL with a waiting list of 23 to join us. You of course are most welcome to join the waiting list but a time frame can not be given at present for when your dog will get a space at daycare. Believe me if I could have them all here I most certainly would but it would be an insurance nightmare 😂🐶❤️

For now the rates for both boarding and daycare will NOT be rising but for 2025 boarding bookings the rate can not be guaranteed so please be aware of this. As you all know I keep rates as affordable as possible as I believe everyone is entitled to professional and affordable dog care. For the love and happiness of dogs... They are more than worth it and that's why I do what I do 🐶💜

💤🐶BOARDING 🐶💤

Folks my boarding is now currently FULLY booked right up to SEPTEMBER 2024 with the exception of some very sparse dates available in there and limited availability after September and bookings for 2025 have started.

If you need any boarding booked with myself please try to give me as much notice as possible so I can have all your amazing, gorgeous pups spend their holidays with me. Believe me if I could build a dog palace and have them all stay I would however my aim with all my clients is providing the quality time and attention that all dogs deserve.

If the dates you require are fully booked I can pop you on a cancellation list for the dates if you wish.

Hello to all our fellow dog lovers 🐶

Please be patient at this extremely busy time of year for us. We will respond to messages/enquiries as soon as we can and if we miss your call leave a message and we'll get back to you (this isn't the quietest place for phone calls 😂)

Also could all clients both daycare and boarders please try to stay as close to your arranged drop off/collection times as possible to reduce the risk of traffic build up and availability (there are only two of us and this is a constant supervision facility) If you're going to be early/late it's normally no problem at all as long as you let us know we will always try to accommodate everyone's needs 🐶

We work towards always keeping a smile on all our doggos faces! Their safety, happiness and well being is always at the core of what we do here at Great Tails 🐶

Our business is insured with Petplan Sanctuary but our personal pet insurance is with Tesco.

As most of you know we lost our precious Guinness in January 💔 it was thanks to our insurance we were able to fully investigate and make the process as easy on him as possible. Despite all efforts there was no saving him but we had the peace of mind that we tried everything possible for him.

**The total bill came shy of just under £4000... We paid £60 (excess) Tesco bank paid the rest including cremation and ashes.**

I am a pet insurance advisor so if anyone needs any help I'm always just a message away 💜🐶

Can't even believe I am writing this post right now, our hearts are broken 💔 Today we had to say goodbye to our big man Guinness. He had a mass on his kidney which ruptured and despite every effort being made under the sun he could not be saved.

He may have put our heads away but he was one in a million and we can not even being to express how much we loved him and how much he will be missed deeply. Not only by us but by his siblings, his daycare friends and anyone who met him.

It may have been short but he lived his very best life everyday and we will never forget him. Love you always Guinness (Ginn Ginn) ❤️

Good day to all our wonderful clients 🐶

Sadly the time has come for us to increase our boarding facility rate as boarding is simply not feasible with the current cost of living from our home now. Prices will now be £20 per dog per night. If you have 3 or more dogs staying with us we will reduce it to £15 per dog per night for you. Early drop off and late collection is being kept at £7.50 per dog as daycare rates are NOT changing.

This will commence with the new year starting January 2023. We hope this doesn't cause too much inconvenience to anyone as we always strive to provide professional yet affordable care for your beloved dogs in the best environment possible ❤️🐶

Based in Glastry near Kircubbin in the heart of the country my partner and I run a doggy daycare called Great Tails! We operate the normal 9-5 hours but are very flexible with drop off/pick ups as we also provide cosy indoor boarding in our home. We believe that all dogs deserve the chance to enjoy daycare hence our affordable prices. We do this because we love working with dogs and providing them with a safe and fun environment for them to flourish. I have my Canine First Aid and also completed my course in Dog psychology and behaviour and although training is essential there is nothing more important than experience! Having worked with animals most of my life my experience flourished in my previous job working within a veterinary clinic. I also own three rescue dogs each of which came with their own unique character a couple of problems to fix. Rocky suffers terrible separation anxiety, Ace was a malnutrition case and Guinness well he is just a big, unruly drama queen with a stubborn attitude! Through time we have worked out the kinks with our pups and are proud to say we have three very happy, excitable and sometimes stubborn pups that we love! We know not all dogs like company however and provide separate areas for our more reserved dogs to run about and enjoy in peace as well as indoor space for those rainy days. Dogs love us unconditionally and we promise to give nothing but unconditional love in return.
