Pippa's array of food based enrichment activities
Over the Easter break, the dog grooming students took part in our in-house competition.
The competition was based on canine enrichment, which is a process that improves a dog’s wellbeing psychologically and physically. (So, in a nutshell, a way of keeping your dog healthy, their brain active and preventing them from getting bored!)
Day by day we will be revealing the top three winners and the enrichment activities they devised, coordinated and choreographed.
Here we have Pippa’s very informative array of food based enrichment activities, Pippa won 1st prize, Well Done!
Pippa talks us through a variety of puzzles with a treat reward to keep her wonderful cockerpoo Bundle engaged and her brain working!

Here is the amazing Ria during her first hydrotherapy session here at the Easton Campus.
Ria suffers from CDRM, which is described as a degenerative disease leading to muscle wasting of the hind limbs.
Hydrotherapy is a great form of non-weight-bearing exercise which helps to maintain muscle bulk for as long as possible and to improve general fitness and to enhance her quality of life.
Dogs that need to be supported on land really enjoy the freedom of a pool as Ria showed today.
Little Flint the spaniel came to visit us today for his first puppy groom.
As you can see, Flint thoroughly enjoyed his groom, especially the dryer!
Our puppy grooms include a comforting introduction to our equipment and noises of the salon, followed by a bath and dry. This includes plenty of fuss and reassurance from our students, ensuring your puppies first grooming experience is as fun and positive as can be.
If you would like to book in for a puppy introduction with us, we charge only £11 pounds (under 5 months)

This is Lola attending her second hydrotherapy session.
During the session we are working on improving her fitness while combining this with increasing her range of movement, this is performed on the resting platform within the pool as it is a non weight bearing environment.
Teddy the Newfoundland wasn't so keen on getting in the bath this morning. So some of our students were kind enough to get in with him!
As you can see Teddy is now enjoying being pampered by our students, all of our dogs receive plenty of breaks and lots of fuss.
If you would like to book your Newfoundland in for a bath, dry and tidy, we charge only £35.
