I always find it helpful to see pictures of my dogs jumping performance, to identify areas such as: early/late take off, how they take the jump (extension and/or flexion of the limbs). Highlight any injuries from their performance/form. How they are landing after a jump, (are they balance? landing to short or long). Are they measuring jumps? And if so why? The criteria I look for, will depend on the how they arrive at a jump e.g was it a straight line or on a turn!

Who else checks their Dogs jumping performance and form..... and what are your reasons??? I'd love to know 😃

We had great fun competing this weekend. The courses were challenging!! So lots to practice 😎 But Vienna managed to claim 2nd in her Agility and a clear round in her Jumping. Harper was her usual speedy wreaking ball 🙈 but my gosh she is sooo much fun ðŸĪĢðŸĪĢ

I have been doing Agility for over 18 years and I've had a number of wins and amazing runs in competition. However, today, this result for Harper has to be the highlight of my Agility career so far!!
Harper has not been an easy dog to train ðŸĪŠ (altho incredibly fun) and for that reason I didn't even think about entering her into competition until she was over 2 years old. She just wasn't ready!! And still has a long way to go. She has only done 3 comps so far, purely to gain confidence in a comp environment. Our first hurdle was just seeing if she would stay in the ring and stay focused on me ✔ïļ. Then we worked on her behaviour around the ring 🙈. During her 3 comps so far, she has had a dog run into her ring whilst she was competing 😎 and today a dog jumped over the fencing and straight towards her whilst she was queing ðŸĪĶ‍♀ïļ. She has stayed professional on both occasions âĪïļ. So to finally achieve some calmness outside the ring, it was a absolute joy to see her try her very best to negotiate the right course today and listen to direction ðŸĨģ It may of come with many many faults as she is a wreaking ball ðŸĪĢðŸĪĢ but this is a massive win for Harper and me (not to get an E). SUCCESS IS ACHIEVING YOUR OWN 'SELF' PROGRESS!! I love the small wins 🏆 Well done Harper 😘

I had a lovely weekend at Nottingham Champ Show 😍 Me and Vienna ran some lovely courses and watched some lovely courses ðŸĪĐ Harper did some 'calmness' training near the rings and the boys enjoyed a social trip out 😃 On Saturday Vienna worked well but kept me on my toes with a few little mistakes 🙈 but today, she did her absolute best and gave me a beautiful clear round in Agility, coming 4th overall ðŸ˜ą with the classes being huge in numbers, I am more than happy with that placing ðŸĨģ #vizslaagility #agilityfun #agilitycompetition #vizsla #agilitytraining #agilitydog #dogtraining

Jump Variation Training with Harper 😍 working on height changes and width of jumps 👏

Jump Variation Training. This is one of my most favourite things to train, work at, and progress on. So many variables to work with, and aspects to analyse! - the dogs experience - the jump height and width - the spacing between jumps - the dogs striding between jumps - angle of the jumps - how the dog approaches the jumps - the dogs jumping style - how the dog lands - position of the handler ..... these are just a few focus points ðŸ˜ą The best part is seeing the progress from young, inexperienced dogs too dogs gaining experience and knowledge of how to over come the jump or series of jumps placed in front of them ðŸĪĐ
