Just a little reminder that I'm on holiday 🏖️for a week from the 27th May back in on the 3rd June.
Rebekah is on maternity 🤱leave now so I have been locking the front door 🚪when I'm out the back bathing 🛁so please bare with me if I'm not in the front of the salon when you come back to collect or to drop off as I have to keep to a certain pace or I will get behind.

Currently we are booked up to till part way through July have the odd few spaces so if you do need to rearrange or book in it might be worth booking a few in advance so you get the dates you want.

Again bare with me with replying and calling back from voicemails I'm having to wait till I've finished for the day to do messages and call backs, reminders may not always be first thing in the morning as well and please make sure to confirm your coming so I don't need to chase you up.

We do have two new starters Elle is our new Saturday worker so you will probably have seen her now she is in training to be a dog groomer and Alicia also in training is due to start in June so lots of things happening.

And finally I'm slowly working my way through the price increases a few have slipped through as we now have a starting price of £35. I have constantly tried to keep pricing to a reasonable level but due to rising costs it has had to go up after only having an increase once in a good 10 years, just for my equipment alone its getting high I paid £250 for my scissors and blades to be sharpened yesterday that's every 2 or 3 months not to mention shampoos , electric and just wages as well, I feel our prices are still very reasonable for a skilled profession. So that being said please if you do get a price increase try not to stretch out your appointment further apart if at all possible as this leaves me with the possibility of a matted up coat or a longer thicker coat (drying time)to try to deal with that I will end up having to charge you extra for (matts blunt my blades and scissors alot quicker).

❌ RAPESEED! ❌

It’s that time of year again where farmers fields have blossomed into pretty yellow flowers, these plants are called rapeseed. Although it may be tempting to place your dog in the midst to take a scenic photo, please avoid this at all costs!

Rapeseed is extremely poisonous for dogs, especially in highly sensitive canines.

Rapeseed is listed by Dogs Trust as toxic to our dogs if ingested and can cause symptoms such as:

❌Haemolytic Anaemia
❌ Blindness
❌ Damaged Nervous System
❌ Digestive Disorders
❌ Breathing Problems

Even walking through these fields should be avoided! In June 2019, a dog was reported to be suffering from severe open wounds after running through a crop of rapeseed.

Please seek immediate veterinary attention if your dog shows any signs of rapeseed poisoning!

I just wanted to give you a heads up that we are currently booked up until the end of May/beginning of June.

Rebekah is going on maternity leave from the 20th April so this means Sarah will be working on her own and slots are getting booked up faster.

If you've forgotten to rebook or just know your dog will need a groom around this time I'd suggest giving us a message or a call sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

Extra service charges these prices are stand alone if not already included in a full groom price.

A**l glands - £10
Ear plucking - £10/15 depending on size and difficulty of dog
Paw trims - £5 (is included in a full groom )
Ear cleaning - £5
Nail Clipping - £8-10 depending on size and difficulty of dog (is included in full groom )

Announcement

Some of you may or may not have seen a post on fb about the salon being for sale, I just wanted to reassure you all that yes the business is for sale but it is being sold as a going concern so all the staff will still be in place, the only thing that would change if it was sold is it would be owned by someone else. I just wanted to have less of a work load to deal with paper work ect and at the time of me actually putting it on the market I was pregnant with Charlie so it has been on the market for a while. I hope this clears up any confusion like I say we are here to stay 😁.

Hot weather post!!

Now that the glorious sun🌞 has come back it's time to please bare in mind how hot 🥵 it can get with walking on the pavement for your pooches and bringing them to the salon, we can still offer early morning appointments starting at 8am and will continue to monitor the temperature 🌡️ inside the salon through out the day, this may mean we will message or call to ask to come in earlier if we feel it will be to hot for your pooches to cope with if their appointment time is late on in the day. Please try to be as flexible as possible I know this isn't always possible but we do always think about your dogs safety and over heating can be a big problem, we will also not full dry coats if we feel it's getting to much for them to cope with and of course if you feel it's just to hot for them to come in then please let us know asap. Hopefully we can all enjoy the lovely weather and continue on with everyone appointments as normal 😀

Hi everyone hope your all okay😁
We just wanted to let everyone know that our nail clips on there own have now gone up and will be starting at £8.
We are also having a general overall price increase these will be depending on the individual dog, we do appreciate that everything has gone up for everyone but we are having to do this as a last resort due to the increase of electricity bills at the shop. If your price is increasing we will always let you know on our reminder texts.

Hello everyone!
Hope you're all okay?

We are thinking of changing our hours slightly and were wondering what you all thought😁

We would be opening the salon for appointments at 8am instead of 9am. We would close the salon at 4pm with the exception of those who can't make any earlier than 4pm.
