Day 353

00:10 12th May. Under the aurora borialis and a shooting star

Lass did it.

Lass brought little Lyra into the world.

She has blessed me with the most beautiful little buckskin filly. Full thoroughbred.

The stars aligned, the birth was easy even if she went against the wall. And she was dry, up, and suckling within 3 hours.

Lass is being a perfect first time mum! And Lyra is sweet and sassy, if a little bit wild 😂

Welcome to the world Lyra, we have some adventures ahead!

I've been quiet cos there's been a lot of stuff going on! But lass is now past the day 300 mark and she got some milk coming already!

I'm hoping she's gonna be the perfect momma and just have her baby really easy 🤞

Quick update on lass, she is 270 today!!

50 days until she is SAFE to have the baby! And 70 away from due!!!!

A knight of undeath, with armour of black,
With a ghasly undead horse, and a head he did lack.
He flew through the sky, exclaiming his name,
The Headless Horseman rides again!

In place of his head, lay an evil helmet,
With a grinning, demonic smile, that seemed to fit.
He landed on the ground, looked upon the town with dismay.
He chuckled a bit, and he thusly did say,

"Prepare yourselves, the bells have tolled.
Shelter your weak, your young and your old.
Each of you shall pay the final sum.
Cry for mercy. The reckoning has come!"

His horse took off, into a steady flight,
His vile laughter filled the night.
He held aloft his sabre, A hell he will raise,
And the sword then suddenly did catch ablaze.

Boulders of fire flew through the night,

And lit up the village like a faraway light.
The air was filled with cinders and ash,
Any brave opposition were incinerated with a flash.

A few weeks ago kobi went to hickstead!

We qualified and made it to the sunshine tour but wasn't out weekend with the weather being so so hot, he just had no oomph

But we got our photo 🥳🥳🥳

Not all fun and games, showing the OTHER side of horse care

Kobi has started to feel weird with travelling, reluctant to load occasionally, scrambling etc. I felt something wasn't right

So I took him into the vets,

X-rays and lameness work up, they said they have never seen it caught this early but I know my boy. And I'm not daft.

He's got slightly less gap between the joints. We chose to medicate them to help h, as he's obviously uncomfortable!

Listen to your ponies, they can't talk so you have to listen for a Whisper 😮‍💨

Man Vs horse 2023 and he bossed it 💪💪

17th horse and only beaten by people that are from Wales or otge hilly areas!

It was far to hot for him, conditioned as best as we could but he isn't suited for the heat!
