Remember Teddy, who we started working with back in August 2023, after 9 other dog groomers found him impossible for them to groom or even touch him without getting bit.

Well, I’m pleased to say we are now able to do full grooms on him without him being muzzled also sedated and just with the power of patience and giving him the choice. a lot of people were quick to jump in and say letting him decide will not achieve a good outcome well results speak for themselves.

The star of the show this week had to be Teddy, the nuclear reactor of the dog world. After seven other groomers tried and failed with this lad we took up the challenge. We are now going through the process of training, Teddy to be more tolerant to grooming along with enjoying it.

Ironically, when working with dogs like this, it can be the owners that are more difficult than the dog. Due to the fact, as you can see from Teddy for the first few months, you are not getting the best of grooms you are getting practical maintenance grooms. Along with the owners having to accept the dog may come home sometimes not fully groomed as we are giving the dog the choice to make decisions.


We was amazed how much we could do with Teddy on the first meet and greet. We’re just at the ground work for a promising future of lad.

Just a quick update folks, I’m gonna be partly out of action between 18/08/2023 until the 01/09/2023. Some bookings and appointments are going to have to be changed.

We will be contacting you tomorrow for anyone who is affected, we will make sure everone who is going to be affected will be notified by tomorrow.

On Thursday the 15th of June we have nail trimming appointments available between 08:00 - 09:30, 17:00-20:00, at Prospect Mount Road. It only takes under 10 minutes for each appointment and costs £7.50 per dog.

Rosie has had half her teeth cleaned today by us and they have come up a treat, it has saved her owners over £400.00 in vets bills.

With the two cleaning visits Rosie we are just over one tenth of the price compared to the vets and without the risk of anesthesia.

It’s Tia’s 15th birthday today and here she is doing her favourite trick carrying my supper home which I’m pleased to say did arrive home fully intact.

Great video from our daycare of Leo, Myla and Zeda. Sharing is not a natural behaviour for dogs but is crucial for a harmonious multi-dog household, sadly it’s not widely taught anymore and is only addressed when it starts becoming in issue. Or is incorrectly tried to be addressed by using human psychology instead of canine psychology. As I always say there is no point in asking the fire brigade to fit smoke alarms to your house when it’s bent down.

A fantastic day yesterday with Milo who has now started attending our day care to enjoy a bit of canine company and his brother Teddy will be joining us soon as well, both Milo's and his owners have come a long way. Milo’s Training is a combination of Primark principle and NRMT. It also serves as a great example of what is called Confirmation Bias, because a lot of people don’t understand the training principal or it does not fit in their way of thinking is dismissed straight away. Poor Leo was drag out of his bed this Morning at 06:30 for a walk and was not a happy bunny. Until he had a crepe for breakfast which he carried around the house in his mouth for almost half an hour.

It is Zeda’s 4th birthday today and as a treat the dogs have had banana and brussel sprout fish cakes, made without wheat and sugar. Everyone enjoyed them but we could not get Jazz to eat one, despite been a Labrador.

Our biggest problem child but one we would not swap is gorgeous Ollie who we have been looking after for over 10-years. Ollie had a great time to in Whitby playing with one of my dogs Zeda, we always look forward to having him despite his many quirks.
