Roger, who normally only paddles, chased a coot into Keadby Canal! I had to haul him out by his harness as the sides were too steep for him.

A sad day today. I took Bobby, with his owner Stewart, to help him over the Rainbow Bridge. I have had the pleasure of walking Bobby since March this year. He was a delightful dog who loved everyone and all dogs, I could team him with all but reactive dogs. He will be sadly missed 🥹

Remember, if it’s too hot for your hands or your bare feet, then it’s too hot for their paw pads! ⚠️

If you’re unsure whether it’s okay to let your pet go for a walk on pavements, a simple way to test the temperature is by holding your bare skin on the tarmac for five seconds ⏱️

If you find it painful, then your pet will find it painful to walk on!

To protect your pet, it’s best to avoid walks during the hottest part of the day, which is usually between 8am and 6pm. If you can't safely exercise your dog, missing a day won't hurt.

I had a few days, last week looking after Jax and Teddy. They were very good boys. I think Ted would have made a good working dog, he kept retrieving my things, phone, boot, Croc. He didn't chew anything thankfully.

I tried Jax and Teddy on my bungy splitter today as I may be bringing Bella down for a walk with them. They walked really well bless them 😄

My 1st walk with new doggy client, Bella. Being female we thought we'd introduce her to Zakk (he doesn't like most other males). They walked well together and did their own thing off leash. It's quite hard to tell them apart! Bella has a curlier tail, more black on her back legs and a bit less white on her face.

I walked the Keadby boys together today. No way could I get them all looking, it was hard enough to get them in one frame with Teddy on lead. One sniffs, they all sniff 😄
I think Floyd identifies as a big dog 😆

New dog walking client, Bobby, on the right. Matched well with regular, Floyd, on the left 😃
Both are rescues, about 11 years old and both have very few teeth. Bobby is very mild mannered and walks a like a dream. A few more lead walks then I predict many adventures ahead, when they are off lead together 😀
