Well this week the blackberries have gone down very well on our walks! The nice juicy ripe ones have been carefully selected for a mid walk Snack! 😍😋

🐾 🐾 Lovely to be back today, had a very productive week off so was nice to come back to the dogs for a rest 😄! Still a bit muggy on our walks, Cilla particularly enjoyed an end of the walk blast off with the air conditioning today 😅🧡!! X
🐾🐾 Well, well, the long legs and the short legs. Both have learned so much over the last year. Both are still young. We’ve worked a lot together on being polite, manners in a group and off lead recall. I am not going to be shy, I am super proud of both little Trudy and Ruby here. This is their first walk together and I was a bit concerned how they would be but we decided to give it a go.
They’ve both been amazing, playing together despite their obvious differences physical attributes! So sweet to see them able to interact in such a fantastic way, both are relaxed and happy. Literally nothing else I could ask for. Well done guys 🧡🐾🐾x.
Loose lead champion!
🐾🐾 So very pleased with how Fred’s loose lead is coming on. He’s checking in regularly and we’re still marking but not rewarding with food every time now. We’re also now able to offer verbal praise as a reward. His ability to manage distractions is soooo much better and he now knows what he needs to do so we can both walk comfortably. He still gets his sniffy time but we also get the ability to walk without me being dragged 😁! Such a good boy 😇, his smile also says to me he’s comfortable with what we’re doing 🧡🐾🐾x
Lose lead champion!
🐾🐾We’ve not done too many pavements recently, today we did some and all the foundation practice is really coming together now. Beautiful and clever, such a pleasure to walk with her and she does love a good check in!! Well done lovely Rubes 🧡🐾🐾

🐾🐾 Recall work is going really well 🧡😁! There was another dog not too far away, we’ve built this up and I’ve been able to determine a safe distance for him. Distractions are the main challenge! Well done Freddie 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! 🐾🐾
Double wrapped for his walk to keep warm, but this little boy really enjoyed some sausage rolls in the frosty grass this week! 😍

🐾🐾 Well, a new one for me too today. These two lovelies have recently moved house. Very glad we can continue to see each other, today our new walk took in the bell ringing practice! What a wonderful distraction! They were pretty happy with it too 💜🧡🐾🐾xx

Recall!!!!
🐾🐾 We started with a basic ‘hand touch’ at home to help with recall (nose touches palm of hand, mark with ‘good’ and reward with tasty food). Once this behaviour was reliable, we started to move that hand to encourage more engagement.
We’ve now progressed this out in the real world! Out in quite a busy park, long line on harness, to try and get this a bit more reliable. We kept our distance from others and she’s totally smashed it! Clever girl and working super hard whilst having some fun with the silly human she’s out with 👏🏻😇🧡🐾🐾x
🐾🐾Very happy to say all our preparations for my new red girl over the last few months has paid off more than I could have hoped for. She has settled so well into our group walks. We are still doing some solo walks to give her some time out, after all it can get very exciting and we are still learning! As always, massive credit to my others, so well mannered, really happy to meet her and she’s keeping them all young 🤣! Some lovely play together as well as some great parallel walking practice and snifferoos! 🐾🐾
