Well that's me for 2022! Thanks to everyone for my lovely cards, presents and tips. I really appreciate you all.
Thank you to Bobby boo who has forgone his Xmas do in favour of a bobble... he does love a bobble lol ( thanks to the icy weather and frozen pipes) but I will see you New year's eve for a new year haircut!
Thank you all for your continued support and I look forward to seeing you all in 2023.

Bloody weather!!! I won't drive in this weather because I'm a wuss!
I'm having to cancel any dogs who can't get to me over the weekend so if there's anyone who is willing to come either today or tomorrow please let me know and I'll juggle around.
Means I can move this weekends dogs to other dates.

Just a heads up to those booked in before xmas, I have no wiggle room and a waiting list.. so if you decide not to have your appt, please let me know well in advance so I can offer it to someone else.
Also, as its baltic out there, the shed pipes are likely to freeze so I may run late. I have a fab plumber coming tomorrow to look at options.

Horrible aren't they!?

This is a plea from the bottom of my heart... please flea treat your dogs.
I know it's an extra cost but so is the extra charge when I find them.
I don't want them and noone else does.
I now charge a minimum £20 extra if I find fleas as I have to clean and flea treat the shed so as not to spread them.
This means I have to cancel any other dogs due in.
I always recommend that you buy from your vet as cheap treatments don't work and can make some dogs ill.

Hi all,
Sadly the cost of running a mobile grooming business is becoming astronomical with fuel costs and utilities rising at an alarming rate.
I may have to consider increasing my charges again despite my rise in September.
I know you'll all understand but it's still not something i want to do.
Please bare with me.
Got to brave the fuel pumps tomorrow and not looking forward to it at all.

💔 Received some sad news today. Maisie, my oldest and noisiest customer passed away today with her family around her at the grand old age of 14. She was a noisy madam, not a 9am dog but was the most lovable, lickable dog and was my friend
She loved life and enjoyed her time with her Aunty P.
I know her mum and dad are so upset but they should rest knowing that she was loved and knew it.
RIP Maisie Moo. I'll miss my kisses sleep tight

**** Been made aware today that there are quite a few known cases of CV19 which are only showing as a BLOCKED NOSE. No cough, loss of taste or smell or temp. As a result.. if you have any symptoms of a cold whatsoever, please do a lateral flow test and if positive, rearrange your appt. This prevents me from having to stop working, & prevents the spread. I myself test daily, just to be safe. Thank you as always.. Paula ***

Here we go again folks!!
Covid is playing silly buggers again with us at the worst time of year.

Although I'm double, soon to be triple jabbed, I have family members who would struggle if they caught Covid so I'm just reiterating the following..
If you or anyone in your home have ANY symptoms at all whether one of the the 3 main symptoms or anything else, please cancel your appt.

I'm going back to asking you to pop your pup into the car for me just to be safe.
It's frustrating beyond measure, but hopefully we can avoid any more lockdowns.
( I knew it'd start again because I've started booking for January!!!🤣🤣)

Bonfire night. 🎆💔😞

I know lots of our pets get distraught and scared and it is heartbreaking to watch, unable to comfort them.

My advice.

*Walk them early, before it’s dark.
*Before it gets dark, close curtains and turn lights on.
*Turn tv/radio up.
*Try a home made thunder shirt (directions in the picture), made from your scarf. It may help if it’s one you’ve been wearing as your smell will comfort them.
*Ignore the noises that they react to. Though we try to offer comfort, it’s often our reaction that they react to.
OR,
*Try turning your reaction into a positive with treats when you hear them.

I’m not a vet, or behaviourist, but theses things have helped. If your dog normally gets stressed out, maybe speak to your vet for a little medication to help them through the worst of it.

Big loves and cuddles for them all, I know how awful this time of year can be for them. 💔💖 ###
