This is really an unfortunate news.

Seeing that Mr Olabode Olawuyi has been working with the zoological garden for the past 10 years, and has also been feeding the lion for 9 years, this is NOT a case of carelessness on the part of the handler.

I believe this maybe a case of PROLONGED STARVATION or UNDERFEEDING.

Lions have natural predatory instincts, and hunger can intensify these behaviors. In situations of prolonged starvation, a lion may become more focused on hunting and may display predatory behaviors even toward familiar individuals.

Starvation and underfeeding can lead to increased stress and agitation in lions. These conditions may result in heightened sensitivity, making the lion more reactive and potentially aggressive.

The institution may go ahead to investigate the incident but more emphasis should be placed on the management of the animals.

Personally, I will take extra extra caution when attending to my patients.

Today, I assisted my favorite patient “Rexa” to give birth to her 9 adorable puppies 🐶.

I learned a lot from this process but one thing I loved the most was the beautiful sight of the palpable maternal love ❤️ she has for every one of her puppies.

God is great!

Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (RMSF): This bacterial infection, transmitted by certain ticks, can lead to a severe illness with symptoms such as fever, headache, and a characteristic spotted rash. RMSF can be fatal if not treated promptly. * 3. Anaplasmosis Tick-borne diseases like anaplasmosis and can also be transmitted to humans through tick bites. Redness, swelling, itching, and rash are common symptoms. In severe cases, anaphylaxis may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. * 5.
