Keysar Rescue is a not-for-profit animal rescue organisation dedicated to providing a safe haven for homeless and rescued dogs and puppies until we can find them responsible, loving homes. We believe that all pets should be treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. We believe in showing compassion and working to rehabilitate abused and abandoned pets. At Keysar Rescue we educate people and our

communities about the importance of these principals as well as the importance of spaying and neutering to reduce the number of abandoned pets. We rely strenuously on donations & support from the Community so we can continue our work to keep on moving & saving the forgotten. Hey guys 😢,

Our little Odey is in a tough spot right now, battling for his life 💔. I've never cried this much since we lost one of our seniors early last year.

He's been discharged from Waihi Vets 🐾. So I've requested to move him to VSA Auckland for better care 🏥.

I've covered the X-Ray, fluids and anti-nausea shot costs in Waihi 💉. But I'm still awaiting a comprehensive medical report from them. They've already sent a referral to VSA, hoping they can see him tonight 🌒.

Odey's not in good shape😔. He has fluid leaking in his abdomen and honestly, a lot more happening with him. But before any one of you tell me to let him go, I won't! He's only 10wks old 😔. I've seen the will to live in my rescue's eyes before, and I see it in his 🐶.

If you know me, you know I give all our rescues, pups to seniors, a fighting chance and if they give us that look of survival, we gear up for the battle as well 🛡.

If any of you can spare a bit to help with Odey's fight, we'd appreciate it. Donations or even just sharing and spreading the word 🙏. We will need to move mountains to save him.

Hey there Ministry Family! 🤗 Guess what? Our beloved Quinn from BOIAR's cute bunch Ivy & Jinx has started her fresh journey in her new forever home. 🏡 The moment she saw her family (again), she erupted into a joyful bark-fest 🐶 yap yap yap until she realized who they were! I swear, she was practically screaming in joy, rolling on the deck, ecstatic to see her folks again. Her mum picked her up for some massive bear hugs 🐻💕 and it was clear how much they had missed each other.

It's moments like these that make me say, "I so love it when our dogs pick their families" 🥰. They might not be able to talk, but they definitely show their love.

Big shoutout to Cheryl Trust Practitioner NZ, for making their home ready for Quinn just weeks before her arrival. We are indeed rolling a tad differently to help some of our dogs settle in a little better. All thanks to this wonderful dog-loving lady. 😌

Raising a toast 🥂 to this amazing adoption! Quinn was the last pup at the rescue from up North. Feels great to be a part of their story, from the rescue to their happily forever after.

You won't believe how smitten Quinn is - her excited 'squeal' was the happiest sound on earth! 🐾💖 Can't wait to see what's next for Quinn and her family!

We lost a remarkable soul previously, a delicate supporter of her rescue buddies, the beautiful Misty Rose 🌹. She and her loving human parents were tragically taken away from us in a devastating car crash 😔. They have been steadfast supporters of our cause, generously donating chunky rolls, possyum rolls, and a box of treats. A massive thank you to their family and to our darling "Misty Rose," thank you for always looking out for your furry rescue buddies, ensuring they never went hungry. We love you and think of you dearly 💔. We hope you are now running freely with our pups who've crossed the rainbow bridge before, and those who couldn't win their fight against illness.

Ever wondered what's it like to see the world from inside a cage? 🤔 Troy probably does. Continually watching, waiting, silently hoping that someone might give him a second shot at love and a family 🏡💛

Poor Troy... Silent and patient, he's witnessed so many families coming through to find their new family members while he just quietly observed 🐾💔 But hang five Troy, progress is on the horizon. We are still pushing for you 🤧

The most tender and loving furball currently in Rescue could not help but wonder... 🐶💭🎄 Will he find a family to love and be loved by in time for Christmas? The wait continues, but we're not giving up.

Meet Jellybean, our bundle of joy and happiness! 🐶 He's so confident, he loves getting head pats, belly scratches, and cheek shrugs from almost anyone - he's simply irresistible! 😍

Jellybee is fabulous around his littermates and is the life of the party with his food-loving nature. He's content when he's the center of attention, but can also have fun on his own with a squeaky toy or a tennis ball. 🎾 and oh, you should see him play around the tree, swinging his toy and catching it himself - quite an entertainer he is! 🎪

He's an absolute sweetheart, loves his crate, knows where his potty spot is, just adores the sandpit, and is a big fan of the splash pool. 🌳💦 Not just that, he's so friendly with big dogs, loves tagging along and even shares their chewy bones (well licking the soft edges more like it). 🍖😇

His playful temperament and beautiful personality are a delight to all and don't worry about smaller pets - we think he'll be great with cats, loves birds, and even finds it amusing when they land in his bowl! 🐱🐦 He is sure to become a beloved companion to any loving home that promises to keep him social and happy. His jovial nature brings so much cheer that it feels like a floor show! 🎈🎉 He's just one of those bubbly-tempered puppy's!

This sibling trio is part of a litter of 10, rescued from unfavorable beginnings 😔, with 3 already sold previously by their Owner, 7 were rescued, having 5 transferred to another Charity, I associate the entire litter as part of my Rescue project truly close to my heart ❤️. Meet Liquorice! 🐶 At just 9½ weeks, he's truly one-of-a-kind. Liquorice has his Mum's warm, caring and calm nature, and his deep brown eyes observe everything with gentle curiosity.👀

Not only is he super friendly and playful with his litter mates, he is also a foodie who loves to eat! 🍖 A bonus, he's food-driven which will make training easier.

His favorite pastimes? Chasing a thrown ball or a toy tossed in the air. 🎾 He knows his crate, often sauntering in and out on his own. Although when tired, he'll nap wherever he feels comfy. 😴 He's a champ at sleeping through the night and even knows to potty on the grass. He also enjoys lounging in his clam shell filled with water, with one leg hanging off the edge! 🐾

Honestly, I'm floored by his loving nature. I bet he'd make any home complete, filling it with bundles of joy and laughter. He's a unique gem amidst his colorful siblings, the only dark pup in the lot. 🖤

We hope a loving family spots this post and decides to include Liquorice on all their incredible life adventures, giving him the forever home he deserves. 🏡🙏

Hey everyone, feeling overwhelmed and blessed with the outpouring of love and support for our humble rescue operation, receiving kindness from coast to coast🙌.

A big shout-out to Julie from TAPT OP SHOP ( A Second Chance Op Shop ) New Plymouth who made a long drive to deliver goodies. She brought bedding, an airline carrier, food stuffs, and more. She even pledged $100 monthly to our cause, wow Julie, we've just gained a new rescue angel..!

Also, a huge thanks to Wendy Jones, our "not so little anymore" Ariel's foster-fail mom, who even sold her wardrobe to help raise us some funds. What a hero! Our vet bills are through the roof, but when we see our dog's eyes, every worry simply evaporates💫.

When the budget's tight and supplies are low, you look up at your rescue dogs and they remind you of how much heart you put into helping the doggos who come to you scared, anxious and hurting.

A huge shoutout to Pooch and Me & their network for our fundraiser - $750 coming straight in! 🙌 It's making a beeline to the vet first thing! Bedding, bowls, XL crates, treats and toys ✨ A massive thanks for always involving our rescue pups in your promotions 🐶. Thankyou also for spending time with the pups! It would've meant alot to them. 20mins of social play and cuddles is equivalent to an hour's run in their heads.

Last night, the stars aligned and our adorable pups, Chocolat & Groot, chose their forever home "together". This lovely family drove a whole 7+ hours to meet us and our furry bundle of joy. 🚗💨 As they arrived, guess who wouldn't leave their side? Our two little furballs! It's incredible how they knew they were chosen days before & are now heading off to more love and warmth! So heartwarming 🥺💖 and honestly? I just love witnessing their choice right in front of me. It's a sugar high rush for me! 😍🍬 It's one hell of a kick I get seeing such precious moments. 🥰

Before they left, they got to enjoy their fav meal, "the golden paw porridge". 🍲 Talk about exiting in style. 😎

A huge Thank You 🙏 to this wonderful family for driving that long for our rescue pups. So stoked to hear they'll be trained for lots of water adventures. Can't wait to see them splash and play! 😍🌊 They're in for a fun ride. Let's welcome the new paw-rents! 🎉

𝗛𝗲𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗸𝘀, 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.🙏

This breaks my heart to say but can you believe some person told a 74-year-old lady, "please hold the puppy, I'll be back" and simply forgot to return? 🤔 This sweet woman is now finding it hard to care for a 3 month old pup named Pearl, who's had a pretty rough time already.🥺

Pearl has been through a lot. She was attacked by big dogs, just had head surgery, and had treatment for wounds she sustained. Yet through it all, she's proven to be a true gem - gentle and loving.💔

Unfortunately, I can't take Pearl in. Our base is too lively for her and I'm worried our pups might stress her out. So here I am, pleading with you all for some urgent help.🆘

Is there anyone out there who has a quiet, lovely corner in their homes & hearts that could provide sanctuary for Pearl until "we all" help find her a - forever home? 🏠

We got her meds, food, and bedding covered. All we ask is that you show this little one that the world is still full of kind hearts.🙌

I cannot take it anymore! 😡😤 I'm continually hearing stories of animals being harmed by a single evening that evolves to a horrifying week of fireworks, over houses, in cats' mouths, for mere laughs, and even scaring dogs. This is for what? Entertainment? 🙅‍♂️ Your neighbors turn into psychos while your scared pets try to escape! They often end up dead, lost, or worse, made a disgusting spectacle for firework fun! 😭 This MUST end NOW! Recently, I found two terrified Rottweilers in Tuakau trembling, running for their lives, but they were lucky to be microchipped 🙏 Looked after, definitely adored. Can you believe they ran from their OWN BATHROOM? 😱 This is absolutely unacceptable, people! Your momentary thrill isn't worth a lifetime of heartache. 🔥💥😔 Waking up to a lifeless beloved pet isn't FUNNY. Enough's ENOUGH. Time to BAN fireworks! 🚫💔

Hey everyone! 🥳 Little Millie just celebrated her BIG 2nd birthday today! 🎈🎂 This kind-hearted sweetheart told her Mummy that she wants the birthday money to go to her furry friends at Keysar. 🐾💕 We are honestly grateful for Millie's continuous support. Eagerly awaiting the day to hug you again, sweet Millie. 🤗❤️ A huge Thank You to everyone for your support. 🙏 It doesn't just mean a lot to me, but also to these second chance rescue dogs 🐶 who never asked to be born. From Buddah, now beautifully renamed to Angel 😇, she has found her forever paradise, and boy, just look at that joy in her tail and face! Update on her first few amazing days at her new home 🐾: Pardon me for the late update. Angel (formerly Buddah) is adjusting well here. She started off a bit shy, which was kind of expected. The first couple of days had some growls and a scared tail, but her appetite was fine. 🐶 But just look at her now on day 4! No growling, her tail's up, she's skipping around the house, creating a lovable mess (A shredded box of tissues, gnawed bark all over!). Not to mention, the fifth night had her sleeping alongside our daughter, and now, she even sleeps with us! She's just in love with cuddles, and she has these energy spurts where she only wants to play fetch.🎾 She's an absolute delight and we're thrilled to have her around. The loud noises are still a bit scary for her, mower, vacuum, blender, you get the idea. 🙉 On day 3, she got startled and ran off when hubby started some renovations. We had to go on a little search mission, but the silence from the neighbor's dogs tipped us off. After half an hour, we found her happily playing with them! Whoops! 🤭😂 The search party was not impressed (to say the least!), but apart from that little adventure, she's living up to her name, our little Angel. In memory of our son, she's turned out to be that beautiful Angelic gift we needed. ❤️

Life. A mother's love is absolutely priceless. Mama Jen is doing really well. Loves and cleans her babies alot. Most of all, she is so well loved in her foster home. Thankyou for all your support. Through your donations we have enough to cover first 2 cycles of puppy vaccs & Mama Jen's desexing. She has been booked in to be desexed as soon as pups have weaned. Was so good seeing them all this morning.
