Keysar Rescue is a not-for-profit animal rescue organisation dedicated to providing a safe haven for homeless and rescued dogs and puppies until we can find them responsible, loving homes. We believe that all pets should be treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. We believe in showing compassion and working to rehabilitate abused and abandoned pets. At Keysar Rescue we educate people and our

communities about the importance of these principals as well as the importance of spaying and neutering to reduce the number of abandoned pets. We rely strenuously on donations & support from the Community so we can continue our work to keep on moving & saving the forgotten. Such a beautiful moment witnessing Twix pick and obviously chose his forever home.

This was the family's 2nd meet with him and this morning we drove him to his new family.

We couldn't have picked an amazing loving home for him. He fell in love almost immediately with the place and his new people! The family recently lost their beloved companion to seizures 😔, was so loved to the very end. They saw Twix and reminded him so much of their's. The rest was history.

Thankyou also to our friends over at Pukatowi for having him well socialised at their doggy daycare & SAFE PROGRAM 😊

This litter of 11 have now all found their loving homes. Lucky last Twixy ☺️💙☺️

This is why we battle through storms in this industry to fight for platinum outcomes like these. They don't live long enough to experience the good life... if they're still waiting for their breakthrough in Rescue.

Scout is just one of many, outliving his best life in a beautiful home 🏡. It's crazy thinking..... he's gone from an enclosure to now this, an open wide-eyed lens just enjoying every second in this next part of his journey. Heaven? I think so.

Troy, on the other hand (the brother he left behind) is sadly still waiting for someone to raise his curtain too. Please consider meeting this lovely boy. His sulky eyes in the evening is now starting to speak volumes 😔. He really does need a paw in the door to his next part of the journey. My dream.... his dream..... is to see him running along the beach too 🤧.

I can 200% vouch & say that Garrick has one of the most beautiful and caring hearts. He is still with us. His Rescue was from a place with no love & no shelter. He split from his brothers and found it tough relying on his own paws to no longer hide behind them, but to face up to every battle and challenge on his own to become the strong and confident pup he is today! I'm so proud of who he is today! I knew, we all knew he could do it and he did it. He did this all on his own. Found his place in the pack, then found his hidden & confident smile again.

He is 6½ mths, good with dogs, untested around cats, has a beautiful warm and caring temperament and loves humans "alot" now. He's only ever been surrounded by love and reassurance so we're looking for a home that will lock in some guidance.

He is crate & house trained. Excellent recall!!

Please help find his forever home.

Nothing better than seeing one of our older rescues comforting a younger rescue pup. Dogs are simply the best beings that walk this planet!

7 days claim ends in less than 24hrs for this young pup that was found zapping in and out of traffic on Boundary Rd, Otara. We are reposting him one last time for Owners to come forward with proof of ownership. Pup was not chipped and still isn't, just vaccinated with all 3 shots, deflead & wormed.

A very, very BIG THANKS to Becks & Lukas from Raw Pet Food Express for a great healthy start for the pregnant momma!! Broth included.. this is heart warming knowing that what she's about to eat will trickle down to her babies. Thankyou so much guys!! Greatly appreciated.

Also, would like to say a huge thankyou to everyone that's donated towards mummas care. Enough to cover all the babies vaccs cycles, mummas desexing, ongoing puppy supplies and ongoing flea and worm. Pups will be wormed from 2wks. We couldn't have pulled this miracle without your support so THANKYOU SO MUCH.

Just to answer the fair few questions that debated against our decision in 'not' aborting these babies. Simple. I'm a Rescue that fights. A Rescue that does not kill, who am I to do that? I'm also not the type to put any mom through that either especially when shes about due. Every pup deserves a chance despite the madness & endless cruel cycle going on out there. When we say we will fight, we are also saying we will be fighting for GOOD homes for them once they're healthy, stronger & ready. Our focus is now on mum and pups as well as our other dogs in care. We got this.

Please consider meeting Buds (Buda), she is now 8mths old and we've had her since birth, that long ago since we've had her mum rescued as well & speyed 😔.

Buddah has gone from foster to kennels & now back to foster. We just want this long never ending - unpredicting road to STOP for her ✋ so she can REST & live out her days in a loving & caring forever home.

Please help her. She really is the sweetest and most loving dog. She has so much LOVE - SO MUCH LOVE to give 😭.️

Morning All...

We've taken in a heavily pregnant mum as she needed somewhere safe & warm to be or she could've ended up in the wrong hands or in a cold cell block. She's just had her ultrasound and looks to be due end of the week or early next, she is HUGE. No pic for her safety!
We will need help with supplies, thanks to Belinda's daughter who recently donated her birthday wish list for our doggies, this lot has been transferred to our foster guardian. A huge-huge thankyou to the beautiful NYSH who gifted the Rescue with this amazing whelping box, mumma has since been walking in and out of to get use to her delivering bay.
We will need some extra support for some mini-puppy food, some good-nutrient food for mum, puppy pads, heating pads, WET WIPES A MUST PLEASE, puppy jumpers, towels, mink blankets 🙏

We are looking at between 10-11 pups so we need all the help & support we can get as we are already budget-stretched for food and medical 😔.
I can imagine how EVERY Rescue is FULL but we had to pull the plug as the situation was dire.

I hope this call out for help comes with no stress, we will do what we can to ensure the safety of mum and the delivery of her babies a smooth one.

Huge thanks to Kimberly & Family for donating & carting through some awesome tyres for the doggy play area, other supplies & bags of grass seed to bring our day-stay area back to life 😔. They even got to spend some quality time with Fudge who they helped bottle feed as a tiny baby Fudgey. She loved seeing them again. Thankyou also to Jax for donating a large box of medical supplies, these are greatly appreciated!! Thankyou..!!!
A heartfelt thanks to the Team for pulling through and meeting at the Pukekohe Tennis courts early morning to help cart some heavy-sanded Turf (good quality turf) back over home. Thankyou Ana Cookes for paying for the trailor and tie-me downs especially the boys who helped massively carrying the turfs, I hope you guys are resting with your backs 🤧. "Cheers Rhian for the hook-up 🥰".

Really does take a team to make a vision become a reality. Everything's parked up for now due to the weather yesterday, but at least it's here.

We will be holding a working bee first week of October. Extra pair of hands would definitely make our work a whole lot lighter and faster. These dogs deserve the best... absolute best.. Thunderstorms can really damage certain areas where it leaves a pile of mess and muddy puddles, dead grass, dirty dogs that look forward to baths 🤭..... not me 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. Pup found running in traffic on Boundary Road, Otara. Luckily one of our foster mums was in the area, pup zapped in front of her bumper. No lacerations just deep scratches. No microchip. Pup went straight into the vet to check for any injuries and chip scan. Thankyou Rachel at Mangere Vets for squeezing him in last minute 🙈. Got him fully vaccs'd (sorry if you don't agree) but we have dogs and pups too. Gotta keep everyone safe!

Thankyou to the lady that overheard the convo at the vet and donated $35 towards pups vetcare.

Hoping an Owner comes forward, if no Owner after a week, pup stays and will be up for adoption next couple weeks

We waive full adoption fee to loving & committed homes and responsible Owners on one "extreme" condition. That they have our dogs desexed at their earliest in their vet clinic. It isn't easy waiting to be called that a booking has now opened on our end, as our main vet is one very busy vet clinic, but we are getting there with the many in our care. Please don't judge us as we've heard the rumors. At least these dogs are out from a deplorable past, SAFE, LOVED, WELL FED AND CARED FOR. All our rescues are fully vaccinated until 2025 and kept up with worming every 3 - 4wks.
If you know of a vet that can match Mangere Vets pricing, please get in touch. The reason I've waived the full adoption fee is simply because the charges outside of Auckland will be triple or quad the amount we pay for here in Mangere and this will not be fair on the family. Same goes with flights, I cover this with zero adoption fee attached. So yes, my Rescue is finding it tough and it is the only area in Rescue I am struggling with. Desexing bookings. So please be kind and if you have nothing supportive to spread or say, best you stay quiet because there's alot more going on than you think behind scenes, you wouldn't be able to handle. This below, is a recent prime example of what a good promising Ownership looks like and it's always a magical feeling when the desexing certificates come flooding through. We've never had any hiccups.

Another note: Our dogs that are currently in foster care outside of Auckland, I still have to pay for them to be desexed which is triple the amount, so there will be an adoption fee charged here. Hope that makes sense 👍

Milo 1½yrs - Sensitive, affectionate and calm. Great with children, dogs and loves her car rides. Walks well on and off leash.

Pebbles 6mths - Caring, friendly and so very affectionate. Lovely to walk on and off leash, great company/friend and most loyal to children.

Quinn 7mths - So much love to give her hearts about to burst. Loves her cuddles, likes chasing a ball, great off leash.

We have our boy Twix back at the Rescue. I swear he's such a cool, funny, friendly and bubbly dog that will no doubt fill a family home with absolute happiness. Twix is more than ready to find his people. He has so much love to give to the right family. Please give this boy a chance. He deserves a happy ending like his best mate Thor who recently handed in his rescue badge. Please share. He loves children, dogs and has even been around cats! He's just an absolute super star waiting for his breakthrough.

Those moments where you can only wish you were there but impossible leaving the dogs unattended at home 😔. But when you have some awesome loyal supporters taking your invisible self places it really does make a huge difference and impact towards the Ministry. Our mission is to rehome as many of our rescue dogs as possible to loving, kind and caring homes. We pulled them out from the ruff, now it's up to us to keep them out of there. Please adopt a Rescue. Our rescue boy Ripa got away early this morning to his forever home 🏡 Thankyou everyone for being in his corner, thanks Nic for getting your beautiful niece to accompany him and a VERY HEARTFELT THANKYOU to one of the most AMAZING loving family's waiting on the other side for you 🥺 We miss you..... "today is going to be different without you" 😔. But I'm so happy you found your fairytale ending.

🥳 IVY HAS NOW FOUND HER FOREVER HOME - THANKYOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT 🥳 Ivy has come back through no fault of hers, she left 3 days ago and was returned due to neighborly construction noises that were extremely loud. She gave her whole heart to an 8yr old little girl and would sleep with her, would howl when she left for school. I felt I just ripped her from the one thing she felt safe with. But it was in Ivy's best interest she gets returned upon her foster family's request. If you have children and are open to fostering - please, please consider Ivy and with her coming back here is just too overwhelming for her with lots of dogs. She really is a sweet, sweet girl with so much love to give. Please keep her in mind. She's extremely down at the moment. She's already had a walk out on the farm but I can see her mind is far far away......

Just 2 dark coated rescue labs out having a good time this evening. Scout is the one that doesn't think and just does something he knows he shouldn't be doing, he went into the river and it's not bath day today.... so he's fast asleep smelling like ...... Squeezing Fudge tight tonight. I captured their last run together this morning before driving Carlos to the airport. They had so much fun running for a few hours. Very blessed to be on this rural property, final moments like these wouldn't be created. "Yes I love all my Rescue 🐕's".

Brookby Lodge | Vanya Marsh & Sarah Clarke Vanya took me in for a couple nights before handing me over to Sarah. I was shown lots of love, I explored the beach, slept with cats I've never met before (I love them), rode on trucks, walked in public places and then I was about to become a foster fail 🤭 but Sarah knew my forever family was out there. So the last best thing she did for me was accompany me on a flight to my forever home, she wanted to meet my new mum & dad and help me settle in nicely. She was so happy, I was too but I also felt her emotions. Thankyou Sarah for loving me and getting me here safely. I'll never forget you. Lilly is now living the dream only most rescues can ever imagine. A lifestyle block in the south island! She also gets to learn and grow with a new sibling named, Tigger and surrounded by farm animals and cats in a loving home. Thankyou to my beautiful family for giving me the best "welcome home gift ever". My sister Moana and I were originally dumped by our Owners out on the street as puppies. She found her forever home last year. It took a while to find mine, but I'm glad to say, it was well worth the wait.

The dog wash at Manukau Animates was FULL and Troy had his meet and greet within minutes with the family. So we gave it our all with muddy behinds, face and paws 🙈. This is Lady! So cheeky 🙈. After drying her down I went into the laundry basket to grab her pyjamas, I turn around in a split second she ran straight back through the gates, right into the mud puddle again. She had the cheekiest grin looking back at me. Tonight was her THIRD bath wash. She's obviously about to head in for her fourth 🤦‍♀️. But she decides to nibble on her treat first. Her rules or the highway I guess. - Funny Rescue Life 🤷‍♀️. Gotta laugh.... I think.
