Fortification Pagani foaled a filly early this morning. This time I triple checked the s*x. Foal is by Fortification Peader.

It's amazing the difference a week makes. I've also discovered that the "filly" Chawtie had is actually a c**t. It must have been a brain fog moment when I delivered this one 😆😆.

Update said filly is actually a c**t with a weird shaped bottom hole 😆.
Chawton Serendipity foaled a filly by Weston Park Taree. Can't wait until she unfolds.

Even with a textbook delivery and me on hand to break the bag as he was delivered, this little guy didn't make it. He never even moved really. Glad I was there as I would have thought the bag didn't break and the foal loss could have been avoided. I'm not sure why he showed no response (even with holding up, swinging to remove fluid and rubbing with a towel). The lab thought this pregnancy was absorbing at 120 days due to declining hormone levels so possibly not a viable foal way back then.

EVENT CANCELLED. Sadly with little interest we have had to make the decision to cancel this event.

We are holding a social get together at Memory's, Springston on Sunday October 1st to celebrate the end of winter! Come and share a delicious afternoon tea and some social banter about the joys of spring and your favourite welsh pony. CWE is subsidising the event meaning it will only be $25 for a beautiful afternoon tea. Those who wish to bring media to share are most welcome to by arrangement.

How on earth does this happen. Over night yearling filly Summer put her front leg through her mate's hind leg strap. Soooo lucky no legs were broken or ponies hurt. I couldn't catch them so had to watch and wait till Summer worked it out to lift her leg. How do they do it!

This weekend has classes for both Registered and Unregistered ponies and horses so if your equine partner has even just a little bit of Welsh in them you can be involved.
There is also a Newcomers ring for those wanting to have a low key, supportive go at showing and the Performance Day offers lots of options for having a go at things other than showing.
Entries will open next week (once we finalize how we will be taking them) so in the meantime have a good read through and feel free to ask any questions in the comments.
