Feline Earmites.

Ear mites can affect both cats and dogs, but are especially common in cats. Recognizing the symptoms of ear mites in cats will help you treat the condition before it leads to complications like infections or damaged eardrums.
Ear mites (otodectes cynotis mites) in cats are common. They are parasites that normally live in the ear canal and sometimes on the surface of the skin. Ear mites cause a condition known as otodectic mange. While not life-threatening, ear mites are contagious to other animals and can cause severe irritation to your feline companion.

Case of the week:

A Pot-Bellied Pig pet suffered difficulty in giving birth(dystocia) for almost 8 hrs and was brought in the clinic. We directly performed an emergency cesarean section to save the piglets and the mother, but sadly the piglets were already dead in her womb. Luckily, we saved the sow, was admitted for several days and went home and on her road to full recovery.

CONVICTED: MARIKINA CAT KILLER.

On July 31 2021, Orange the cat ran into the doorway of Noel Secretaria’s house to seek temporary shelter from the rain. It was the last normal thing Orange ever did.

In the next few seconds, the heartless Secretaria grabbed a piece of wood and hit the animal with such force that Orange let out a sharp cry before he tumbled then twitched and convulsed on the ground in what seemed like death throes.

The horrifying scene unfolded before the eyes of the cat’s owner, Eden. She brought the still breathing cat to the vet and thought that he would survive the ordeal. Orange looked at his owner with sad eyes and managed to crawl using his front legs for the next three days.
Sadly, Orange died after a week of suffering 😢

In October 2021, Eden filed animal cruelty & malicious mishief charges against the unremorseful cat killer who initially denied the charges against him. Thankfully, several eyewitnesses stepped forward and faced with clear testimonies, there was simply no way for Secretaria to deny his guilt.

Marikina MTC Branch 92 Judge Celina De Vera-Casimiro rendered judgment of GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt against Noel Secretaria on May 22, 2022 for the crime of Malicious Mischief and for violating par 1 sec 9 of RA 8485 The Animal Welfare Act, as amended by RA 10631.

Secretaria has been fined and sentenced to six (6) months imprisonment. This conviction will forever be part of his criminal record.

Animal cruelty is a crime. If not caught in the act by law enforcers, animal offenders may still be charged in court for as long as there are affidavits from witnesses which may be filed with the Prosecutor’s Office.

For the proper way of instituting criminal action, it is vital to submit WITNESS AFFIDAVITS before posting on social media or tagging animal welfare groups.

In Memoriam to our Beloved patient Pooh2x

For 11 years since the day you we're born through Cesarean Section, your mother died and you lived. A healthy pup that goes to live thru bottle feeding. You stayed for almost 3 months with us until you've got fully vaccinated and safe to go home. You're so sweet and a happy doggo.. Weekly you we're with us together with your other companion dogs for regular bathing. We've been through a lot for your health issues, pyometra, obesity, bilateral total ear canal ablation, dog dengue and lastly your heart problem. Mam Lucila Caldino, your beloved owner always wants what's best for you, everytime you've got health issues, she made sure you were with us, to make sure proper medications wil be given to you. Many of my clients recognized you as our regular patient coz you seems to stay most of the time here in our clinic.
When we joined the contest for Royal Canin weight loss program, you performed well, we did a great job on having you loose your weight from 25kgs to 16kgs in 3 months, though we didn't won the contest, but we won on having you loose your weight. I remember,during our weight loss program, you always got a chance to get several canned food on our display shelves and put it on your side during your sleep 😊😊😊😊, wondering you missed so much food that you want to eat in your dreams lots of food, because you're still on the diet program 😁😁😁. You also tried to sneak out food on our kitchen upstairs but we always caught you and you seemingly tried to show us your cutest butt shaking and bark on us and after that you ran as fast as you could down the stairs hahaha..

We will miss you Pooh2x..If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever. But nevertheless, you will lived forever in our hearts Pooh 😢😢😢 You leave a paw print on our hearts forever....
