In observance of the 4th of July holiday, our clinic will be closed on Thursday, July 4th. We will resume our regular hours on Friday, July 5th.

As you celebrate, please keep in mind that fireworks and festivities can be stressful for pets. Here are a few tips to keep your furry friends safe:

• Create a quiet, comfortable space indoors where they can escape the noise
• Ensure they have proper identification in case they get startled and run away
• Avoid giving them table scraps that could be harmful to their health

Happy Monday! This week we will have fewer doctors in clinic, so to reduce wait times, we kindly ask that during the week of February 26 - March 2, walk ins are limited. Today, on Giving Tuesday, we ask you all to consider supporting our local animal rescues. Whether through a donation, volunteering your time, or simply spreading the word, every contribution counts and can make a world of difference.

Our local rescues work tirelessly, dedicating countless hours to saving and caring for animals in need and supporting our community. These rescues are the unsung heroes, giving a voice to the voiceless and a second chance to those who need it most.

Today, and everyday, Canyon Road Animal Hospital is thankful for all our rescues do for the betterment of our community, the residents, and the animals. Let's come together to show our support for these heroes on Giving Tuesday!

Canyon Road Animal Hospital will be closing tomorrow (Friday, 9/22) at noon and will be closed Saturday (9/23). We will have staff available on Saturday from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm to administer vaccines and refill prescriptions. We will resume normal business hours on Monday. Have a great weekend!

Fireworks, picnics and other Fourth of July traditions can be great fun for people; but all of the festivities can be frightening and even dangerous for animals. Noisy fireworks and other celebrations can startle animals and cause them to run away; holiday foods can be unhealthy; summer heat and travel can be dangerous; and potentially dangerous debris can end up lying on the ground where pets can eat or play with it.

Whether or not you're planning your own Independence Day celebration, it's important to take precautions to keep your pets safe both during and after Fourth of July festivities. Have a happy 4th, and be safe.
