- Our late fall classes begin on Thursday, November 10 in Sperryville, and Tuesday, November 15 in Amissville, and they include: Hoops & Tunnels, and Canine Good Citizen classes; It All Begins Here (basic obedience), and Try It (intro to a few fun dog activities),

We are in the last couple of weeks of readying our barn loft for classes in January. I'm calling this our "Rustic Room," which pretty much describes it. It will still look like this, with wood beams and bare walls, but it should be an improvement over the cold air in January. And February. At least that is our plan :-).

We’re finally back from a year’s “vacation,” and are ready to rumble! Our classes are held outdoors at Mountain View Dog Training in Amissville, just like in the old days.

We've found an "indoor" location for the winter! We'll be in a fantastic horse arena in Rixeyville for both obedience and agility classes. At this time we have openings in Rally Novice Courses; AKC STAR Puppy; and Good Dog (basic obedience). You may sign up for these classes on our website at www.mountainviewdogtraining.com.

For agility, we will be working with jumps, tunnels and weaves -- no contacts. Our beginner classes are full, but we might have space in our novice/open and masters classes. If you are interested in agility classes, contact Averill Ring. Classes begin next week (starting Monday, December 30).

Our girls do.not.like having their little toes trimmed, so I made them responsible for it (with a little help from me). Twice a week we do this. It keeps the front toenails nice and short, and I'm able to trim the back ones without too much of a wrestling match. I think they have fun doing it. And thanks to DH Ken Ring for creating the "nail box."
