Hey everyone! Our reader has arrived and we are back to business as usual! Thanks everyone for your patience

Good morning everyone! We've been having some unfortunate technological troubles as of recent, and our card reader decided to join the fun 🙃
Our new reader will be here Friday but until then we are asking that people bring cash, check or care credit for your appointments and medication pick ups. If you're unable to do so we ask that you leave a card on file for us to run on Friday :)

Good afternoon everyone, thank you again for your patience with our technical troubles. As of right now our phones and computers are still down. Spectrum is experiencing an outage due to a cut line and they are working to repair it as soon as possible. We are hoping to return to normal business on Monday! It is with heavy hearts that we sadly share the news of the passing of Dr. Clarke Poad. The founder of our clinic and an outstanding veterinarian, he impacted an immeasurable amount of lives, both animal and human. Our deepest condolences to his family and to all who loved him.

Our amazing staff have taken the time to show off their art skills and made these ADORABLE pumpkins for the clinic, unfortunately carved pumpkins don't last forever so we've decided to move the voting online! Comment the number of your favorite pumpkin to help us decide whose is the best 🎃

Wishing Dr. Jen all the best as she begins her new adventures at her new clinic! It’s been an amazing 19 year run! She has touched so many lives, human, furry, scaley and feathery ❤️ We have enjoyed so many great times together and she will be greatly missed! Cheers to you Dr. Jen 🥂

Did you know July is lost pet prevention month? 🐶🐱
Every year 10 million pets are lost. ☹️
What's one of the best ways to prevent this? Have your pet microchipped!
Dogs who are microchipped are 2x as likely to be returned to their owners, and cats who are microchipped are almost 30x as likely to be returned home!

With record high temperatures these next few weeks, we'd like to remind everyone that asphalt gets SUPER hot! Below is a chart showing just how hot it can get!
A good general rule of thumb is if it's too hot for you when you're barefoot- it's too hot for your furry friends feet too! 👣🐾

One of the best parts of working at our clinic is all of the interesting pets and people that we get to see and meet! Meet Francis, a giant Malaysian River turtle that was rescued by J & R Aquatic Animal Rescue after his owner passed away. He stopped by the clinic today for a check up before hopefully going to his new home at a zoo where he will have some new friends!

This species is the largest freshwater turtle in South East Asia, reaching a maximum length of 31 inches, and a maximum weight of up to 110 pounds! It inhabits large lakes, swamps and slow moving rivers. They are mainly piscivorous (fish-eating), but may also occasionally eat fallen fruit and consume other available vertebrates.

Definitely a once in a lifetime experience!! 🐢
