For those of you coming to the 3rd Annual Haunted Barn (event link below), forget the babysitter! Bring the kiddos along!! There is a warm space with lots of fun activities to keep them entertained while you brave the Haunted Barn! It is also a good opportunity to test run their Halloween costumes! Nothing ruins trick or treating faster than a wardrobe malfunction! Dress them up and have them join the fun! We would love to see them! 👻🎃💀🤡

We had a GREAT time at the first annual Trick Or Treat On Water Street! HUGE thanks to Augusta Downtown Alliance and Central Church for organizing this awesome event. The turnout was absolutely incredible! Over 3,000 people showed up to visit merchants and vendors, and get some candy of course! Already excited for next year! 🎃👻👹🎃

***PLEASE SHARE***Dates and times are set for the 2nd annual Haunted Barn! Join us October 26th and 27th for some scares, laughs and fun! The barn will run each night from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. With some new scenes and props, we're sure to make you jump! Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids. $25 for families of 4 or more. There will be a much less scary area set up with games, and other activities for the younger children. Don't miss it! Halloween only comes but once a year!

We had a great time at the Kennebec Valley YMCA this morning at their Healthy Kids Day event! Great turnout and the dogs were a big hit! So much fun meeting great people and talking dogs!! :) 🐶🐾 Please feel free to tag yourself or anybody you recognize!

Happy 7th Birthday (day late) 4-1-11* to this amazing litter of sled dogs! Creek, Brook, Karma, Mukluk, Willow and Poncho!!! We have learned so much from each other over the years and will continue to do so for years to come!! 🐶🐾🎉🎈

Our after school program is perfect for kids who enjoy being outdoors and love animals! A great alternative for kids that aren't big into sports and other activites. Everybody LOVES dogs!

Join us for a few hours after school to learn about sled dogs, helping out around the kennel; giving treats, feeding, watering, brushing, cleaning and most importantly, giving and getting lots of dog hugs! All of our dogs are VERY friendly and LOVE attention!

$15/day per person
OR
Pay for the week in advance and SAVE!
$50/week per person

Drop off and pick up times can vary as not everybody has the same schedules. We are flexible and happy to work around YOUR schedule!

Sled Dog Adventures

We have had a very sad week here at Heywood Kennel. We lost one of most beloved sled dogs last Saturday. A lot of you know, have used, or maybe even raced with our boy Flint. He was the absolute best leader, teacher, and all around great sled dog that anyone could ever ask for. I put together this tribute video for him and for all of you who knew him. He may be gone physically, but his memory and his spirit will live on forever in our hearts. Rest in Peace, Flint. You were just simply amazing in so many ways. ❤️❤️❤️
