PSA: Matthews Beach, Enatai Beach, and Houghton Beach were closed as of Tuesday due to the high levels of bacteria.

Seattle Parks and Recreation warned residents to "stay out of the water" as it could potentially make swimmers and pets sick if they come into contact with it.

Hi everyone! We'd like to welcome Moose to our clinic family, he is a new puppy to our receptionist, Ali. He is only 11 weeks old and has already learned how to sit, stay, and lie down!

We thought it would be fun to share his journey as he grows into a big, beautiful boy.

In observance of July 4th we will be closed all day Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th.

We will reopen on Saturday, July 6th from 9AM-12PM for food and medication pick-ups only.

We know the festivities around the holiday can be stressful for pets, so here are some of our recommendations to keep them safe and comfortable!
-Keep all pets (including cats) indoors during fireworks to prevent them from running away.
-Play loud music, turn a television on high or keep fans on. Anything that can keep pets from being frightened by loud noises.
-Exercise dogs early in the morning due to warm weather.
-Always touch the pavement before letting your dog on it, if it's too hot for us it's too hot for them!

One of our awesome clients recently rescued this stray Momma cat and her kitten. They love people but have not been introduced to other pets. Otterpup wants to remind everyone that raw fish and meats are not safe but he loves his plush octopus!
Check any food for xylitol (often used as a sweetener), as this can be a hidden but dangerous ingredient for our furry friends.
Other foods that are unsafe for pets include chocolate, grapes, macademia nuts, onions and garlic.

Introducing Teddie the bravest dog in the world! Teddie went outside in her fenced yard and got attacked by a coyote. Teddie escaped the coyote and made it back inside without alerting her family. When Teddie's family realized she'd been attacked they did exactly what they were supposed to do, and brought Teddie in to see us.

We are happy to report that after some medical care from our team, and some TLC from her family Teddie is doing well!
