Sun Pony Ranch

Sun Pony Ranch is a great place to come to learn all about horses. We offer a range of instruction from 1-day "Introduction to Horses" clinics, to weekly lessons, to 5-day Horsemanship Camps. We teach recreational riding - for both English and Western styles. Our group lessons are offered for kids 8 up through adult, and offer clinics and private lessons for kids younger than that. All of our instructional philosophy encompasses safety in working with horses - for we believe if you are going to ride, you need to tack up and groom as well. The 5-day Camp sessions are much more indepth and cover feeding, barn management, farrier and vet care, tack care -- many of the topics that go hand in hand wth horse ownership. Every camper works with one horse primarily for the week, getting the feel of what it is like to own their own horse. For those who want to take the next step, we also offer long term leases on our horses, giving the leaser the opportunity to ride twice a week on 'their' horse, while we retain all responsiblity for care and feeding.
