A fantastic day at Hilltop Equestrian Center’s 2 phase today! Karina and Lily were in the advanced elementary, Laurel and Sundae and Alyssa on Cadbury in elementary, Anna on Duke in Pre Elementary, and Jenna on Misty did Intro tests A and B. It was a day of adversity for almost everyone, from Alyssa’s normal mount, Comet, coming up lame this past week, so she rode Cadbury once and then brought him to todays event. I’m so proud of how she remained quiet and calm even when he was a bit anxious, and ended up having a blast piloting him around the jump course. Anna and Karina were thrown for a loop when their horses went for a little galavant after getting spooked by a truck filled with scrap metal at the trailers (huge thanks to the Hilltop staff for helping us wrangle them!) and ended up finishing their day with confidence and clear rounds! Laurel and Sundae did their first dressage test together, and Jenna piloted Misty around her first dressage tests (to earn a 69 and 70!)
A huge thank you to the Hilltop crew for putting on a great, laid back day for everyone! And to Emily for being an extra set of hands and our photographer for the day!
