Here’s an educational opportunity like none other!
Four time World Champion, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals, Best All Around Taxidermist at 2019 World Championships and 6 best of shows in Canada. Carolin Brak-Dolny will be teaching a 3 day hands on predator seninar January 18-20th!
Sponsored by the Illinois Taxidermist Association and hosted at Horse Creek Hidery in rural Bluford, Illinois. Carolin will be mounting a red fox but will offer tips on bobcats, coyotes and other predators. Bring your specimen, tools and mounting supplies and be prepared for a fantastic learning experience!
No more than 10 participants. Lunch sponsored by the ITA, suppers included.
Fee for participation is $750 for ITA members, $800 for non-members. Join ITA for $50 and enjoy our family!
Hotels are 20-30 minutes away in Mt. Vernon and Salem, Illinois. Frank Williams has graciously offered his nearby hunting cabin for some to stay in as well- approximately 30 mins. drive.

Thankful for God’s goodness in these uncertain times, and his many blessings. God has been so good to all of us and for that we should thank him today. Our country is the first in the world to set aside a day for gratitude- what are you most grateful for today? Count your blessings ❤️

Just a reminder-
If you’ve got a deer at the butcher shop from the weekend, it needs to get in a freezer. 5 days in a cooler only is too long- they can start slipping, turning blue green and smelling bad.
Try to get them picked up ahead of the holiday- your butcher will appreciate the freed up space as well 🙂

Updating this post as promised-
As far as whitetails are concerned, I’m in a much better place with shop help and tannery reliability. I’ll be getting mammals, birds and fish caught up as well as older deer and am able to reliably send this year’s capes out to be tanned while I catch up other things. I’m resuming my normal shop intake for whitetails.

I’ve had this page made “invisible” in an effort to not advertise while I’m trying to get caught up. I don’t feel right advertising until I am. The last couple years have been a bumpy ride for a lot of us- some of you have been waiting quite a while, and I’m so sorry for that!
My intake this season will be limited until I am comfortably caught up. Right now, I’m taking no new clients. I’m taking pieces for current/past customers- just no new customers- but still very limited numbers at that. I have got to get you all taken care of. Please message before you come with a new piece and understand what’s here already has preference.
If you’re wanting to check status please feel free to message or text me- my cell signal hasn’t been the best again lately for calls.
No public rude comments please.
Things are moving out and I am getting caught up. When I’m back to wide open accepting pieces I’ll delete this post or make a new one. Thanks so much for sticking with me and your continued patience! I’ll be in touch with a few days to a week’s notice on pick ups. If you are having financial issues and need time- please just let me know and we’ll navigate through that. It’s happened a lot lately- no worries as long as we’re on the same page.
