My sweet friends crossed the rainbow bridge today. 🌈🐾 This is not the news that I wanted to come back to. I'm sorry that people keep failing these beautiful breeds! I know your mom is hurting. My mom & I are hurting. I took care of Violet & Stryker for the last year. My client moved out of my service area & found another sitter in Larkspur who was NOT comfortable around pitbulls, but she decided to do drop-in visits & walks for them anyway. They are the sweetest pups, but they are not friendly with other dogs or cats. Yes, they lunge & bark at other dogs & my client made that clear. Their new walker let both of the dogs go & they attacked a neighbor's dog. Thankfully, the dog was ok. I had to step back in & walk them for my client weekly again. I did it because I didn't want this to happen & she is a wonderful client! My mom & my boyfriend have walked them before, too. We never had an issue. If I ever saw another dog, I would walk them the other way. My daughter has also met them & we never felt uncomfortable with them. This is very sad news & people have to understand how to care for these dogs. I will cherish all the memories & cuddles. Rest is paradise, my friends. 😥 You will be so missed! Were sending prayers to your mom 🙏❤️

To the pet sitters, please don't take care of any pets that you are not comfortable with. To the pet owners, please do your research on these dominant breeds. Please understand that rescues have a past, they might have trauma, & a lot of dogs have behavioral issues. Muzzle your unfriendly/ reactive dogs. If you want to learn about them, volunteer at a shelter. Make sure your dog can fit into your lifestyle. Please set these dogs up for success. I will forever love pitbulls & bullies! They are the most misunderstood breed & its very heartbreaking that humans keep failing them. I post about this in memory of them, but also to spread awareness. Violet & Stryker, you were so loved. 💜❤️ Just know we will never forget you.

What a roller-coaster of emotions it has been for the last few weeks. Nala was born with a severe heart condition. She was recently diagnosed with subaortic stenosis. Symptoms of SAS include: Lethargy, Weakness after exercise or excitement, Fainting, and Coughing and difficulty breathing in advanced cases.
In moderate to severe cases, these symptoms can lead to sudden death during exercise. Dogs with SAS are also more likely to develop electrical arrhythmia, heart failure, and infections of the abnormal aortic valve.

When I tell you that her vets & cardiologists keep telling us she could pass any day now since she was one years old, it crushes my heart. It hurts like hell, but then I remember, she has exceeded her life expectancy, she has gone on hikes & trails at her own pace, & she has lived a great life, no matter how long she lives. I remember my life coach DammGirl Coaching saying, "we have to change the story that we tell ourselves." Instead of me thinking, what could I have done differently, I'm thinking, wow, Nala is so resilient. She has gone through so much, but she has also enjoyed her life to the max. There were so many wonderful experiences that this dog has had & will have.

I decided to start my pet care business full-time in June 2021. That was such a blessing since I had time to be a full-time dog mom & run my business. I get to spend so much time with my girls & I show them love every day. I am able to care for them & my clients' pets. I will forever be grateful for that. Yes, Nala needs to limit her activity & yes, she might not live long, but to me, any time that she gives us is extra special. I can't imagine life without you, but I'm not going to dwell on that. I'm going to continue to love you every day. I love you so much! 🥺 She is our problem child, the baby, & our feisty girl lol Thank you all for your continued support & love. I appreciate it so much! You have no idea what it means to us. 🙏🐾

Thank you everyone for calling & texting me for updates. Thank you all for your prayers & positive thoughts. For those who don't know, Nala was born with a severe heart condition. She was diagnosed with Subaortic stenosis. Nala has exceeded her life expectancy. Selfishly I would love her to give us more years. She turned 4 years old on February 12, 2024 along with her sister, Rogue. The vets told us that she wouldn't make it passed 4 years old. God is good all of the time. 🙏🥹 The support & love that she has from us keeps her going. Now we just have to take things more easy with Nala. The vets have been telling us to enjoy her & make her comfortable. When Nala woke up this morning she wanted to play with Rogue & Zoe. She can't be as active as before but thats ok. We will figure out a way to continue to give her a great life. Thank you again for all of the love! I knew I had to post about this because so many people love her. ❤️

Pet sitter life 🐾 As a pawfessional pet sitter, I don't JUST take care of your pets, I take care of your home, too! I water the plants & flowers. 🌿 I take out the trash. 🗑 I bring in the mail & packages daily. 📬📦 I clean up & make sure everything is taken care of. Coming home from a vacation or from work can be tiring, so I make sure that you have fewer things to worry about when you get back home. I give my clients daily updates about how their pets are doing. I make sure your pets are eating well & their water bowls are full. I make sure they do their business. 💩 I clean out the litterboxes & nowadays, I clean chicken & duck coops. I'm adding farm chores to my resume. YEEHAW lol 🤠 I also let my clients know if their pets are having any changes in their behavior. I enjoy caring for animals so much! Making sure they have a clean, safe & happy environment is a top priority for me. There is much more that I do at times, but this is the basic checklist while your pets are in my care. 💚

Self care Sunday! ✨️🐾 In the pet care industry, we work 24/ 7. No one knows the behind the scenes unless you work in pet care. It's not just snuggles & walking dogs. There is a lot more to it like admin work, updating clients, making sure the pets are comfortable, healthy, safe, & happy. I've worked 25+ days straight. I don't want to do that anymore. As much as I want to help everyone, I need to make sure I'm feeling rested & healthy. I need to make sure my own pet family & my family are taken care of. I get to do what I love & I'm furever grateful & blessed! Zo, Rogue, Nala & I are here to remind you to take time for yourself. Self care is the best care! Happy Sunday!

What a great time we had for Mother's Day! We celebrated last weekend at ♨️ Hot Springs & we enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains. On Mother's Day, I went to goat yoga 🐐🧘‍♀️ at while mom & Jay went on scooters. It's so therapeutic to be around animals. In the pet care industry, we work 24/7. It was so nice to take some time for ourselves. I hope all of you hard working, wonderful moms did something you love & got spoiled. 💐🥰

Our job gets very serious, very fast sometimes. Its not just all play & fun. I always say I'm grateful for my clients & their pet family. Brava had me at meow 😻 What a great Caturday it was! I got to visit Brava & her siblings 🐶🐶🐶. I had a nice picnic at Daniels Gate Park with my pups. It was my 1st day "off" in a while.
