Big things coming in 2025 one of those is Online Training Videos. We will be adding new videos throughout the year from basic training all the way up to advanced complex skills. This first group of videos is a basic 101 on how to start building a communication system with you and your dog. Mitch will be going over an outline of operant conditioning, classical conditioning and understanding markers, different modalities talking about luring, freeshaping, leash work (pressure). Play window 🎾πŸͺŸhelps tells us what behaviors and emotional states are acceptable for our dogs at a given time. it’s supper important to create a play window so your dog has a healthy outlet but also understands when they are allowed to be in that emotional state and not. Like a kid going to recess we wanna have a start cue like the bell and we wanna have an end cue like the teacher blowing the whistle. This creates a clear understanding on when you’re allowed to be β€œcrazy” and when you need to be calm.

Great job to all the competitors this weekend who competed in (NW3 and Elite). I was Super impressed with all the teams that came out.
We had big dogs, small dogs, dogs with two eyes, and dogs with no eyes. It was an honor to judge you πŸ‘¨β€βš–οΈ and you all did amazing whether it was a blank hide with what felt like hundred mile per hour winds or up to 4 hides you all impressed me with your ability to break down a nose / scent work problem and work as a team with your dogs. 🐾
