This delivery the other day really warmed
My heart! 💙🐾💙🐾💙

This woman who makes her dog food, dog biscuits from scratch. She cares, nurture and loves her Schnauzer baby to no end.

She lost her 6 year old Schnauzer baby, Bentley last winter when he was struck with an illness suddenly and went from healthy to downhill to dying from esophageal cancer in a matter of 3 months!
Her world was shattered and devastated as we all can understand.

Well Tuesday, I had the AWESOME pleasure of delivering her new Schnauzer baby to help with the rest of her healing, She was going to name her Bonnie Blu, but after getting her beautiful blue-eyed beauty, her and her hubby is trying to decide between Sapphire (our suggestion) & Jasmin Blu!

I had her beautiful baby from 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. as I flew from Columbus, OH to Salt Lake City, Utah!

This Sweet little Schnauzer baby gave me tons of kisses right before I delivered her as if she knew this was goodbye… What a honor!

But it was witnessing her new momma’s face as she saw her for the first time that did me in!♥️

This I could do for the rest of my life!🖤💙🐾💙🖤

Oh what a joy! I love my lil temporary travel partners!
I’m delivering this stunning little blue-eyes beauty from Ohio to Salt Lake City, Utah!

I am blessed to be able to hold these Schnauzer babies to my heart, comfort them, care for them, then deliver them to their new owners!

She was looking out the window before I put her in the carrier and headed back to the airport!

What a privilege and a blessing!🖤🐾💙🐾🖤

This is when I took Journey on his first walk with a leash. I put this little harness on him which belonged to Sweet Blossom last year. It’s still a little too big but he likes it and don’t like for me to take it off.

I put the harness on him a couple of days and let him wear it around the house to get used to it. He really likes it.

Today I used the clicker and treats!
Walking him today was a breeze!

Journey is a baby that lacks NO confidence!
In a week he’s learned his name, he’s learned to sit on command (by observing the others because I haven’t trained him to do that yet) he’s had no accidents in the house, BUT he think he can take over! 😳

He was playing with my oldest heartbeat, Shadow (6 y/o) and was doing the growl thing… Shadow has corrected him a couple of times, but un-uh not up in here!

So I had to interrupt his little rough housing with Shadow and establish a couple of things…

WE…Mommy and Daddy are the alphas in this house! 🤣🤣🤣

We have had Journey home since Sunday, 9-5-21.

You can go back to Sunday, Sept. 5th and review how we started training him to become adjusted and comfortable on his playpen.

We started the next morning after getting him home, because it’s hard to resist the cries of a cute little puppy.

With the Mini Schnauzers, if we pick them up or let them have their way every time they cry, they learn how to become master manipulators, not because they are bad, but because they are extremely intelligent!

Let me say it again, Mini Schnauzers are naturally, extremely intelligent and they will learn to play on whatever & WHOEVER gives them their way!

Remember, these training tips are not a “One size fits all” but tips to help you train your puppy to be a well adjusted happy and healthy fur-baby!

Remember, “A trained dog is a happy dog and makes happy dog owners!”

How to get some quiet time when owning multiple Mini Schnauzers
(FUN SUGGESTION ONLY) 😝

Soooo I oops up onto something thanks to Dr-Luther Carter IV sharing with me where to get the toy spaceship from!

For those of you working from home with Mini Schnauzers, here’s how to get at least 30 minutes of absolute free time to yourself!

I timed it to see how long they would stay at it. Well my Shadow who is 6 years old gave up about 5 min ago. He looked at Sweet Blossom like, “Have at it” and 49 plus minutes she is still at it!

Sweet Blossom FINALLY stopped at the 49 minute mark and guess what Mini Schnauzer Paw parents, they are pooped! (They only got two of the toys out by the way!) 🤣🤣🤣

Many times my training participants are shocked that it only takes a few minutes a day to train a new puppy or a fully grown dog for that matter.

It only takes a few minutes a day, consistency, patience and integrate training in your daily lifestyle.

This video was done about 8 hours after I picked up Journey. He spent most of the day on my lap. Remember the 1st 24 hours they are adjusting to being away from all they knew as a home with the breeding parents, their mother, father, other litter mates and dogs that may have been in the home. The atmosphere is new, they have to adjust to all new scents, so much for a new puppy who has only been here a couple of months!

Yet, they can sense love and the trusting relationship begins. In this video, we’re in the hotel room, he’s started playing and chewing and it’s a short demonstration of training a puppy even when he’s new!

Lil Journey’s first full 24 hours at home. He’s learning to get used to his space and also this is when the hard part starts.

He’s had breakfast and wants to get attention. These are some steps I do when teaching them that their cries do not instantly get them what they want.

He’s just a baby so he’s going to cry to be picked up and to get attention. However, if I give in to him without teaching him he has to wait, I’ll create a manipulative fur baby.

Don’t be fooled, Mini Schnauzers are extremely intelligent. So I’m simply teaching him that when he cries, he doesn’t get what he wants right away, but also to let him know he’s not alone so he won’t get separation anxiety.
