LOOSE LEASH WALKING pt II MONTAGE w/Remi killing passing helper pup Phoebe🤗as we ⬇️distance, she remains ⬆️engaged & responsive. Remi had historically struggled w/reactive behaviors, triggered by other pups.This is a repost, cuz it's SOOOO GOOD😉

TRAINING TIPS:Phoebe has learned how to relax/settle w/distractions & is responsive to cues-GOALS🥳!!! Remember, if your pup can't do this w/no distractions, it's too big an ask to do w/distractions-build their skills w/practice & start w/low distractions, ⬆️as they succeed 😊

TRAINING NINJA UPDATE:"Scotch is doing soooo well! I am so proud of her!...she ❤️ 's her walks & gets so excited to go down the stairs, tail wagging & yelping w/excitement!...So grateful for all of your work w/her"-Lauren 🥹🥹🥹***Background info*** Scotch is a westiepoo who was adopted as a puppy mill rescue, she was the MOST shut down lil girl I've ever seen. She would stand & shake, or tuck herself in the corner of the couch. Training was slow & gentle to help her develop confidence & just be a pup... & her human killed it! Scotch is now a happy & confident girl & living her BEST life! Super grateful I got to be a part of Scotch's healing🥹🥰

TRAINING TIP:Use obstacles(bag of stinky fish treats)to⬆️challenge when cued. Birdie kills it & passes the treats, going to bed & recalling from bed when cued😊

PUPPY P/R: Training lil puppy Lily to manage her impulses & hold "stay" is an important foundation skills to master😁

TRAINING TIP:✔️out Mo learning how do differentiate between "come" & "heel"🤗We use gestures to assist w/learning & will be faded out when no longer needed😉

TRAINING TIP😊Hone your pups focus by using known cues in scenarios w/distractions-Bruegger & Gracie are totally engaged w/their humans 🥳(around each other & outside!)

TRAINING TIPS:Toss treats PAST an unsure pup(cutie Barry)to help create a positive association as well as⬇️stress by creating distance 😊 *EXTRA STUFF TO NOTE*✔️out Barry's human recalling him when he notices he's unsure. After each recall, Barry comes a little closer to me, until he's comfortable to play find it. His human paid close attn to Barry's body cues & supported when needed.🥳*SUPER IMPORTANT* just b/c Barry approaches me & will play, does NOT mean he is asking to be touched!!! Respecting pups boundaries is the way to build confidence & trust😊

YOU CAN DO THIS...😁 Amp up your enrichment game! ⬆️challenges-the cups are tall, so Oz's nose didn't fit so she had to kick them around to get the treats-30 min of problem solving 😉

LOOSE LEASH WALKING & MORE! Excited greeter Bruegger & bashful Gracie are learning to be comfortable w/each other while staying engaged w/their humans! By using their LLW skills the pups are able practice "calm" as they stroll, getting in some sniffs while respecting each other's cues & boundaries. & their humans are doing great reinforcing all the ✔️ins & wanted behaviors😊
