Just let it all work out

People often ask "is it easy to breed ball pythons" Well I always say it is not that hard, but it is not that easy. For instance, this nice female highway is what I am talking about. She is big, and ready to breed. I have a male pastel ,ivory ,enchi, also of the right size and age to breed. I could get some great highway stuff out of this pairing, but that young male just will not do his part. Frustrated I have been putting my enchi OD, pastel to her, I will see no highways from that but I have no other males with Yellowbelly in them to get highways. I breed my females for about 5 months, every 2 - 4 weeks. You just do not do a single pairing like you might with dogs. I hope that enchi ivory will wake up, but I am trying to keep the female in the game by breeding her. The lesson here is some time you have to switch males, and you do not always get what you want. I hate having those great genetics all lined up just sitting there, but you cant always get it your way. I still have hope for this clutch though, we shall see.
