It's the International Day of Veterinary Medicine. There is a lot involved in being part of the veterinary team. Obviously there are the doctors, backed up by technicians, providing the actual medicine. But the veterinary clinic could not operate efficiently without a full team We want to recognize our support staff- veterinary assistants, reception and office staff, cleaners, and all the outside people who provide related services and keep our equipment and building safe and functional. Thank you to all our hospital family!

Today is Veteran's Day, when we honor all those who have served our country. Don't forget the animals as well! Horses, pigeons, and most notably, dogs have all served our country. Many military dogs cannot integrate back into being housepets, but deserve their retirement. I'd like to spotlight the Ddamian Project, which is run by an alumnus of the hospital, Krystal Tronboll, who is devoting her life to caring for these veterans.

Today is the International Day of Radiology. Radiology as a specialty consists of x-rays, CTs, MRIs and ultrasound. Most veterinary practices have access to x-rays and ultrasounds, and veterinarians are trained if their use and interpretation. Specialists are consulted for advanced imaging and cases that are difficult to interpret.
