Family Friends Vet has lost one of their own. Kerry was a funny, energetic, and very charming and eccentric spirit. She was always laughing. Kerry had to leave Family Friends a few months ago due to health issues but all of the friends she acquired here at the hospital became family and so Kerry never really left us. We love you, Kerry. We will never forget what you have brought to our lives. We will never forget the love you shared. We will never forget your energy. Our hearts are incredibly broken. We take some comfort in knowing that your suffering is now over. We love you so much and we will miss you forever. May you Rest In Peace💔 Please help donate to Kerry’s family as the funeral expenses will be hard to endure during everyone’s grieving with her loss. Anything is very much welcome and appreciated.

Here at Family Friends, we want to wish all of our loyal and amazing clients a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We would also like to thank you for all of your patience during the last 2 years while we were trying to maneuver through this pandemic we’ve all suffered through. It hasn’t been easy but with your kindness and support, we’ve managed to get back on track with regular appointments, less wait times, and properly trained staff. It really warms our heart knowing so many great people who use and trust our establishment and that continue to show us so much love and kindness. Thank you so much for staying safe, kind, and loyal to us.

Please know that Family Friends will only be open from 8am-1pm on Dec. 22nd-24th for technician appointments/medication and food pick up only (No vaccinations due to no doctor on staff those days) and then we are closed for Christmas Day.

Wow! It's been such a long time since our last post! Family Friends would like to take the time to appreciate and acknowledge not only our existing and loyal clients but also our wonderful new clients that we have acquired this last year. It has not been an easy year for any of us in the community and we just want to commend you on your patience, kindness, and respect that you've shown us during this time. As we slowly allow clientele back into the hospital, we ask that you please respect that we are still following CDC guidelines. If entering the hospital, we require masks worn at all time, have your temperature checked at the front door, and truthfully answer whether or not you have been experiencing any cold/flu like symptoms. We also ask that you please call to check in before entering the facility. We understand that it can be frustrating to hold for a long period of time when calling in. This is something we are currently working and improving on. Again, we thank you so much for your patience and we are looking forward to seeing you all!

DURING THIS TIME WE ASK:
One Person per Pet Policy:
a) If your pet is unwell or requires immediate attention, we ask that only ONE HEALTHY person brings your pet to the appointment (with exceptions being made for all compassionate visits).
b) We are also asking clients to wait in their vehicles until we are ready for your pet's appointment. Please call us when you arrive and we can come get you. This will help limit groups of people accumulating in our reception waiting area.

We wanted to reach out and share the precautions and care that we are taking to keep you, our team and your pets safe during the current COVID-19 situation.

Please know that we have always and will continue to disinfect high-traffic areas on a regular basis. This includes our waiting rooms, door handles, exam rooms, reception desk, and washrooms.

What you can do to help:
• If you are feeling unwell, please call us and let us know, and
we will do our best to accommodate you. A technician will come and meet you at your vehicle and gather the necessary information, then bring your pet in to see the doctor. From there, the doctor can call you and go over the treatment plan. We can then process payment over the phone with any major credit card.
• Please ensure to use hand sanitizer and/or wash your hands before and after entering our clinic.
• If you develop symptoms of the COVID-19 virus after you have visited our clinic, please call and let us know so that we may take the necessary steps. Symptoms include fever, coughing & shortness of breath.
• If you have traveled outside of the U.S. within the last 14 days or may have come into contact with a person considered likely or confirmed case of COVID-19, please reschedule your appointment.

We have some exciting news!

We now carry the Rattlesnake vaccine.

The Rattlesnake vaccine does not protect your dog against the venom, but it does give you more time to get to your veterinarian for treatment.

We recommend the vaccine if you and your dog will be spending time in areas that are prone to having rattlesnakes. Such as the mountains, camping, and hiking trails.

The Rattlesnake vaccine requires 2 boosters to become effective. After the second booster, the vaccine will be effective for 1 year.
