🦇 Look at this BOO-tiful family 🎃
Halloween was the perfect day to introduce this sweet Addams family themed litter...
Mama Wednesday was found outside with her four teeny kittens and brought into the safety of a foster home. Flora, Fauna, Morticia, & Pugsley are now ready for adoption, along with their mama! Wednesday is fully vetted and the babies will be once they're a bit bigger (you could take them home now though!) Vetting includes FeLV/FIV test, spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and distemper vaccines, deworming, and flea/tick treatment.

Look at beautiful Millie 😻
She absolutely loves the companionship of humans. She can be a little shy when she first meets new people (not uncommon for kitties!), but once she’s comfortable, she’s so loving and playful. Come bed time, she will want to curl up next to you.
She’s about 4mos old, spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, flea/tick treated, dewormed, and FeLV/FIV negative.
Millie loves the other kitties in foster care, and is used to rambunctious dogs!

Friends, we have some wonderful news to share….Angelina has been adopted!!
You may recognize the name from a fundraiser we had done to support her needed medical care…thanks to you (and the incredible dedication of her foster mom!) she was saved. After many months of TLC, she was healthy as could be and ready for adoption 💫 Soon after, a wonderful couple came along…and the rest is history!

Backstory: She came into our small foster program at days old with her siblings, and quickly showed signs of sepsis. Sadly, all but her and her brother succumbed to the deadly illness despite aggressive treatment, but she suffered some serious GI effects from the medication that was needed to save her life. After numerous vet appointments and a variety of prescriptions, procedures, and supplements, she blossomed into a sleek kitten you’d never know had her complicated history.

Those issues were remedied earlier in the year but she was past the cute kitten stage many folks look for, and she continues to be overlooked :(

Our week of TNVR (trap-neuter/spay-vaccinate-return) is a wrap! We are excited to announce that 74 kitties came through our doors 🐱 🐱 🐱
We annually celebrate Feral Cat Day (Oct 16) with a week of clinics as a final push in sterilizing as many as possible before we pause for the cold/winter months, allowing the cats to focus on staying warm vs recovering from major surgery.
Caretakers trapped and brought cats to us from all over western NY, then picked them up the same day to return them to their niche. When these cats are vetted, colonies are healthier and their population is able to naturally decline over time. Assuming this may be the only time they see a vet, we do as much as we can: spay/neuter, rabies & distemper vaccines, flea/tick prevention, deworming, earmite treatment, fluids, pain medication, and they receive an identifying ear tip and tattoo.
Our final tally was 37 females and 37 males 🩷💙🩷💙 (fun fact…because they're feral and have to be trapped, we aren’t able to purposely schedule 50/50 but our numbers often end that way!)
Thank you so much to the caretakers of these forgotten felines, along with our veterinary staff and volunteers 💫

Happy National Feral Cat Day!
We are celebrating by hosting our annual week-long duration of clinics (normally we do 2-3 clinics total per month thanks to our amazing vets that donate their days off to us!)
Today we had both Dr Wilson and Dr Ryan and were able to vet 35 cats (11 males & 24 females) that came from near Lake Ontario to the PA border🐱 👏
Their caretakers dropoff and pickup the same day and are given aftercare instructions to release the kitties where they came from the following day. This allows them to live healthier lives in their environmental niche without steadily increasing their population size.

This gorgeous young lady (~8mos) was the product of a stray momma’s litter but looks like she could win a cat show…we like to call these guys purebred parking lot cats 😹 She is also polydactyl (has extra toes).
Chai is shy with new people at first but quickly warms up to show you her lovely, gentle self. She is in a home with other kitties and dogs in Alfred NY.
She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, FeLV/FIV negative & flea/tick treated through us!

If anyone is looking for a supurrr sweet pair of kittens, look no further!
These boys were found abandoned at days old the same night as our kitten yoga fundraiser, and a kind person transported them to our amazing bottlefeeder, Barrie, who was attending the class. She has done a fantastic job raising these boys…they’re so incredibly friendly & playful but also enjoy cuddles 🥰
As always, these guys will be neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, & flea/tick treated through us!

⚠ URGENT HOME NEEDED FOR SENIOR KITTY ⚠
This sweet guy is Ricky, and he was a participant in one of our TNVR clinics years ago. He quickly warmed up to his caretaker, and they were able to find a great indoor home with their elderly neighbor. Ricky was lovingly cared for for years, but when his owner passed away, the family put him outside 😢. A kind neighbor has been feeding him, but they head south for the winter soon, and reached out in desperation to find this loving guy the retirement home he deserves. We were saddened to hear of the recent passing of Dr. Hotchkiss. Sig has always been a huge supporter of ours, whether it was volunteering her veterinary services for clinics, donating quality items to our rummage sales, or utilizing her sewing skills to make catnip pillows 🐱 Anyone who met her & experienced her kindness was surely blessed. Our hearts go out to her family at this difficult time ❤️

We will also have a plant sale, bake sale, and have BCO Merchandise for sale at the in person sale.
