🐾 𝐔𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐓: 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐔𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 🐾

The hardest part of TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) is always the R—𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑡𝑠.

Every fiber of our being wants to give each one a warm bed, a steady food source, and the vet care they deserve.
But it’s just not realistic.

Sometimes, though, you come across cats you just CANT send back. (Which is why I have 8 resident ferals)
Cats who are too sick, too malnourished, or who have nowhere safe to return to.

Today was one of those days.

Instead of releasing 4 of our TNR cats, we made the decision to hold onto them.

They are between 5-8 years old, extremely hungry, malnourished, and battling upper respiratory infections—but they are docile, friendly, and deserving of a real chance at a better life.
A mannerism that shows they once were better cared for.

Now, we need your help.
We need 1-2 emergency fosters to step up for these cats.
If you can open your home to 1 or 2 of them, we’ll provide everything you need—food, supplies, and vet care.
Or better yet, please adopt one!

𝟐𝟐 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐬, 𝟑 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬, 𝟏 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐍𝐑!

This week was a whirlwind of trapping, vet visits, and life-changing moments for 22 cats.

Over the course of three TNR clinics—
including a special TNR day hosted by Options Veterinary Care—

we were able to:

✨ 𝐓𝐍𝐑 𝟏𝟒 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐬 who are now fixed, vaccinated, and back in their colonies, no longer contributing to the cycle of overpopulation.

🏡 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝟔 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 where they’ll receive love and socialization before finding forever families.

💙 Find a 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟏 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐝) 𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐭 who will now live safely and comfortably.

💔 Sadly, 𝟏 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐜𝐚𝐭 had to be 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝, sparing them further suffering.

A huge thank you to Options Veterinary Care for making today’s TNR clinic possible, allowing us to trap an entire colony of 11 cats from a single residence in one go!
Efforts like this make a massive impact in reducing the stray and feral cat population.

Below are the 21 faces showing that 𝐓𝐍𝐑 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬.
Sterilizing 21 cats immediately prevents between 50-100 kittens being born in the next few months, not to mention the huge impact it has for generations.

Got tonight’s 3 trapped kittens tucked in for the night.

Although they are dry, they are covered in a combination of ice melt, snow, and mud.

They are very docile and will warm up quickly!

We’re looking for someone willing to offer a safe, loving space for this docile feral cat.

Neutered for two years, he has poor vision in both eyes, making life on the streets especially difficult over time.

Cats like him deserve a secure place to live out their days in peace.

Tomorrow, he’ll be visiting the vet for a check-up, updated vaccines, and FELV/FIV testing to ensure he’s healthy before going to a new home.

Meet Honey, a young and gentle-natured cat with a heart full of potential.

Unfixed and Abandoned by her previous owners in an apartment complex,
Honey was left to fend for herself, outside in the elements, and repeatedly breeding, for at least eight months.

Honey is incredibly sweet and kind, and affectionate.

She needs a patient adopter who understands that she’ll require time to acclimate and feel safe as she’s initially a little shy until she warms up.

Honey would do best with another cat companion in the home.

Once a stray from Wadsworth, battling ringworm and raising her kittens in survival mode, Momma Taylor’s story was one of resilience and quiet strength.
She came to us a little worse for wear but determined to protect her babies and navigate life as best she could.

Today, we celebrate a new chapter.
Momma Taylor has found her forever home and her new name—𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂.

In Melanesian and Polynesian culture, "mana" represents a supernatural force, an extraordinary power that can be felt but not always seen.

It’s a name that fits her perfectly.

Mana is more than a cat—she’s a presence, a force of love and healing, a symbol of what can happen when a little bit of compassion meets a whole lot of determination.

To her new family: Thank you for giving Mana the love she deserves.
May she bring the same strength and light to your life that she brought to ours.

🥳 Yesterday we had a big adoption! 🥳
𝑺𝒂𝒎𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒆!

When we got Samson in June, he was extremely shut down, depressed, and showing signs of feral behavior at Washoe County Regional Animal Services.
It took him months to decompress and learn to trust once we brought him in.

Because he came from inside of someone’s overcrowded home, he also was not a candidate to be returned outside, so his future was bleak.

We took him and his two brothers who were even more shut down than him and worked with them for months.

We are so happy to announce that Samson was the last of his brothers to find a home and they all have a happy future ahead!

Cool kids have kitty paw-ty’s!

Rowan and his family adopted a kitten from us two years ago.
He loves kitties so much that he had a “kitty Paw-Ty” and for his birthday, he asked for donations for our rescue!

Rowan and his friends raised and donated $100 for our organization !
