Little Java loves our cat, and also loves the fake kitty. He felt the need to chew her ears a little before I realized what was happening. Stinker!!!

06/07/2020

These beauties will be going to their new homes in two short weeks. I know their new families are anxious to meet them, they will be missed here at The PEP.

Good to know!

As the spring starts we are getting more and more phone calls about red bites on your dogs stomach. We wanted to give everyone this information, these are a type of fly bite, and dogs generally get them from laying in the grass. They look terrible, but usually do not bother the dogs. They heal quickly on their own, and do not require any treatment. These flys are usually around for a few weeks every spring and than go away. We hope this eases any worry that you may have had about your own dog!
If you have any concerns please feel free to call the clinic for more information!

These PEPers are already seven weeks old. I am going to eat them up over the next three to four weeks before they get to go to their new families. Thankful Baby Olive will be staying with us. Although she did give me the stank eye today. 🤣The older they get the less the feel the need to sit pretty for pictures. 😂 But I did want to share few so you all can watch them grow too. They are not available, just showing them off.

Be mindful of your babies paws as the weather gets warmer.

When you’re handsome and you know strike a pose!!!

05/24/2020

This is terrifying. Please keep your babies on a leash, never allow them to roam freely, and always watch above for predictors as well as on the ground.

WARNING from a lucky owner--Just a warning for owners of small pets. This is my Shih Tzu, Coco, who went outside yesterday afternoon as he normally does and was attacked by an eagle. Luckily he was too heavy for the eagle to carry off but you can actually see the five talon puncture wounds. Thank goodness my baby is going to be okay but I'm now terrified to let either of our small dogs outside. The vet says he will be ok and is on antibiotics. Please say a prayer for Coco.

When your groomer retired and you’re afraid to try someone new, you learn to do it yourself. Getting better every time. But still nerve wrecking on this little 2.3lbs PEPer. I have to say he is fantastic, the easiest out of my five to groom. Now to enjoy a little sunshine.

Good morning and Happy Mother’s Day. I wanted to take a moment to show you the kind of scams people are pulling when it comes to puppies. PLEASE do your research, please ask the right questions, ask for photos with a current newspaper or a photo that includes a handwritten paper with your name and that days date along with the puppy you’re looking to adopt. If a breeder is not willing to do this for you it should raise an immediate red flag. Ask to FaceTime/zoom or any other video chat, ask to come see the pups in person if you’re within driving distance. I can’t tell you how many times I have had people try to scam me. Just yesterday I ran into a man that clearly is scamming, when I called him out he started posting hateful things on my page. Please be careful when searching for your new companion. Take a look at the pictures. The same puppy is in several different posts, and the picture he sent me “of himself” looks to be taken from another page as well. And clearly doesn’t look like the same person that’s in the pages profile picture. This man also didn’t think a thing of it to send me screen shots of peoples PayPal transactions with him, with their full name clearly visible. My heart sank when I saw how unethical some humans can be. Be aware!!!

Good morning. Our little PEPers are almost two weeks old. I’m anxiously waiting for their eyes to open so they can see their beautiful world. I always let my daughters name our litters. They have finally agreed on names. For more information on these babies please send me a private message I WILL NOT RESPOND TO QUESTIONS ASKED IN THREAD, PERIOD. Thank you.

04/16/2020

Our little PEPers are a week old already. They have all just about doubled in size. It’s always so amazing to me how quickly they grow, and how much they change. By this time next week they should be opening their eyes. They are all extremely beautiful!!!

Red is extremely anxious after the loss of one of her babies. She is very protective and doesn’t like being separated from any of her young. Here she is checking to make sure I’m not taking her little PEPer away and that all is well.

Good day and Happy Easter to all. My apologies for not posting any pictures or updates sooner. Our babies arrived late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. We had five little ones in total with only one boy. Two of our girls are premie babies, one of which wasn’t doing well at all. She had a hard time latching on to nurse and I devoted every moment to her trying to help her nurse. By late Thursday it was clear she was not getting any nutrition and was losing weight. I started bottle feeding with little success. I knew at this point something was not right and did a thorough examination at which time I discovered she had a cleft palate and was not able to suckle. I immediately started tube feeding in the hopes of giving her a chance of survival. I did this faithfully every two hours 24-7. By yesterday morning she had gained some weight back and seemed to be doing well. We made a trip to the vet for exams on all the babies and momma. The vet wasn’t hopeful but said to continue what we were doing if she was going to stand any chance of surviving. Unfortunately late yesterday afternoon our little angel passed away. We did everything we could to give her a chance to thrive. But she was just too under developed, and the cleft only made matters worse. So please understand the delay in updates. My apologies again for not responding to those of you that checked in. But with the two hour feedings and still caring for my other babies, both adult and newborn, along with my human family there was little time for much else. Momma Red and the other four babies are doing wonderful, babies are thriving and on track. Please enjoy the pictures. None of these PEPers are available at this time. Please stay tuned for updates. Thank you again for the prayers and to those of you that touched base. ❤️❤️❤️

Red has been in labor since around 7:30pm. So far we have 4 girls and a boy. We think there may be one more, but not 100%. Please keep them all in your prayers, they are extremely tiny. I will post pictures tomorrow. Thank you to all that have checked in on us. ❤️❤️❤️

04/07/2020

And we wait..... she is preparing herself. Lots of resting and very clingy.

04/06/2020

The kids are outside playing and I think she would really like to go, yet on the other hand the couch with mommy isn’t so bad either. Love her!!❤️
