Dr. Tanya Higgins was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and grew up in Kingston, Jamaica. in Animal Health/Poultry Science from University of Georgia. from the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Upon graduation, Dr. Higgins entered the exciting field of small animal emergency medicine. She gained exceptional skills in handling the most difficult and chall

enging cases. In 2005, Dr. Higgins received her certification in veterinary acupuncture under the direction of Dr. Huisheng Xie. Dr. Xie is considered to be one of the world's most renowned veterinary acupuncturists. In 2008, Dr. Higgins earned certifications in Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine, Tui-Na (Spinal Manipulation), and Chinese Food Therapy.
