The Dekalb Park District has generously provided us with a free off leash fully fenced preliminary Dog Park. In order to save money and time the dog park has converted a Softball Field with an adjacent fenced in area for smaller dogs. There are doggie waste bags and cans provided. The Park District will be looking for an even larger permanent location in the spring if the park is well utilized. Th

e posted hours are from sunrise to sunset. The Park District will be putting the lights on timers until 8 pm to see if that works well for users and neighbors to the park.

Not sure of the gentleman's name, but if anyone knows them they left their board at the park.

Well... it has been quite a journey. I would like to thank everyone, again, for their support through this endeavor. This was years in the making and started out as nothing more than a dream. Through countless hours, prodding from loved ones, and many re-writes and edits, the dream is finally real. Thank you to Fulton Books for your tireless efforts. Trae Lynn and Brandi were amazing to work with. Special thank you to Jennifer Scudder and Lucy. I love you with all of my heart, even the part that doesn't work too well. Here it is in all of its glory.

Good evening friends. We are looking for any contact information for the owners of a brown mixed female dog, who was at the dog park on Sunday 6/2 between 9 and 9:15 pm, after the lights shut off and we were leaving.

The dog's name is Ginger, and she was accompanied by 2 teenage girls.

When we were leaving the dog attacked our labrador, resulting in a trip to the vet and the wound in the picture. She is on antibiotics, and is pretty bruised up and on pain meds, as well. We don't know if the other dog is current on shots or any information at all, really.

Feel free to send me any information privately, so we can get this settled.

Thank you, and remember if your dog is aggressive towards other dogs, or humans, the dog park is probably not a great place to try and acclimate them. The goal is to have a safe environment for our pets, and friends, to run and have fun

Hello park friends!! Need a little help, we absentmindedly left Loki's retractable leash at the park the other day. It is black and was left on top of the water fountain. If anyone has it we would really appreciate it!! Thanks so much!

Hey hey hey!!

With the holidays on the horizon, and travel likely, there was a report this morning on the Today Show that should prompt some caution.

Will be contacting local vets to inquire on whether or not our areas have seen this.

Safe travels, and be well.

A mysterious and contagious respiratory illness affecting dogs that starts with a cough but could lead to pneumonia and even death is spreading in the United States. NBC’s Liz Kreutz reports for TODAY on how to protect your pet as the infection seems to be unresponsive to antibiotics.

Big thank you to DeKalb Park District for their quick response to the poison ivy.
