Please please please BE KIND . My staff and I are working as hard as we can to help you and your pets! Please understand a few things:
1. Sometimes an emergency or urgent case gets us behind on our scheduled appointments. We are doing our best to care for these cases and will see your pet as soon as we can . We have NOT forgotten you !
2. Our receptionists answer multiple phone calls a day at the same time they are cashing out people and checking people in . Please do not yell at our receptionists. They are working their hardest to juggle answering the phone and helping our day flow smoothly.
3. The doctors are not available 24-7 to answer everyone's call. We have lives and families outside of work .We have 5 very skilled and licensed Veterinary technicians who are available during the day when we can't be available and very competent emergency overnight care clinics in the area to see your pet after hours.
4. Please call your prescriptions ahead of time. Again we are very busy and it gets us very behind when you need a script ASAP . Our technicians try to fill and approve many many scripts per day and sometimes are not able to fill all of them until the end of the day .

In the Dunkirk / Fredonia area, the eclipse will begin at 2:03pm and end at 4:31pm with TOTALITY from 3:17pm - 3:21pm. 😎 Here is what our region is preparing for:

🌑 We are expecting 375,000 visitors to the WNY region - that’s 5 Highmark Stadiums full of people!
🌑 People will arrive 1-4 days prior. Area hotels are already completely booked for the weekend.
🌑 Schools are closed or have early release the day of the eclipse.
🌑 Additional emergency response vehicles will be staffed and prepositioned throughout the County.
🌑 Additional resources will be in place for communications and 911 calls.

Dr Frost and crew are taking on a new project ! We are working with the 2nd chance bird and reptile rescue to help rehab and rehome some special critters. Below are a few of the critters we have or will have available for adoption. We are also looking for donations ! Glass tanks, enclosures, dishes, hides, toys for exotics and reptiles. An application is available on the 2nd chance rescue page or message them directly.

With the holidays coming up and many people boarding their dogs, here is some new information on the canine respiratory disease that is being seen across the country . It is a form of kennel cough but the causative agent has not been identified and in some dogs it is leading to severe pneumonia . Some more information below !

The Lakeshore Humane Society's "Picture Your Pet With Santa" fundraiser returns Saturday, November 18th from 11AM - 3PM at the Lakeshore Humane Society Adoption Center, 431 E. Chestnut St. in Dunkirk. Pets, children, and/or family photos with Santa Claus will be taken by a photographer and available for purchase to benefit the Lakeshore Humane Society. The cost is $15 for one pose; $20 for three poses. The digital photo(s) will be sent via email. We accept payment in the form of cash or check only. Pets must be vaccinated, friendly and on a leash or in a carrier. No retractable leashes please. Multiple pets and children are welcome. (No sick, aggressive, or exotic animals, please.)

An armful of puppies! American Eskimo Dogs are a breed in the Spitz family originating in Germany. They were bred to be companion and watchdogs. They came to America and were famous for being circus Dogs! These dogs have high energy and intelligence. They are known to be escape artists as well therefore a fenced in yard and a family with an active lifestyle is recommended!
