From now through the entire month of November, help us make a difference in our community by contributing a non-perishable food item. Your generous donations will go directly to the Rural Cass County Emergency Food Pantry, providing much-needed support to those in need.

We're excited to shine the spotlight on one of our fantastic team members, Ellie, who has been a dedicated Client Service Representative at CVS since December 2023.

From the moment she joined us, Ellie has brought her vibrant spirit and a genuine love for connecting with clients. Her favorite part of working at CVS is the opportunity to visit with clients and, of course, meet all the wonderful animals that accompany them. Outside of work, Ellie is a proud cat mom to Oscar Martinez, who is lucky to have such a caring owner!

Ellie’s talents don’t stop at her impressive client service; she is also an accomplished musician. She can play both the guitar and clarinet, showcasing her creative side. In fact, many people are surprised to learn that Ellie was a competitive synchronized figure skater for ten years! Her dedication and discipline from those years continue to inspire her every day.

When it comes to travel, Ellie’s favorite destination is Whitefish, Montana, where she enjoys the breathtaking scenery. A horse enthusiast at heart, her favorite animal is the horse, reflecting her passion for riding and training them. In her spare time, you can find her barrel racing, reading, writing, and enjoying the great outdoors.

We’re thrilled to have Ellie as part of our team and appreciate everything she brings to CVS. Her enthusiasm, kindness, and unique skills make her a cherished member of our team!

Create a Safe Space: If your pet is anxious with all the noise and commotion, set up a cozy space away from the doorbell and festivities.

ID and Microchip: Make sure your pets have proper identification in case they get spooked and run away.

🎃 Curious about the difference between X-ray and CT images? Let us "carve" out the details for you! A couple of years ago, we had some fun imaging a pumpkin to compare the results from both machines.🍂

At Casselton Veterinary Service, our advanced digital X-rays provide great images, but sometimes we need a little extra detail. That’s where our CT comes in! 🐾✨ Computed Tomography (CT) is an advanced imaging method that uses computer processing to create a series of “slices” of your pet’s body. These slices are then reconstructed to give us a 3D view of their insides, while X-rays only provide 2D images. 📸

Our CT was specially designed for animals, offering images that are 30 times sharper than conventional CTs, all while reducing radiation exposure by up to 85%! 🚀 Our skilled technicians closely monitor your furry friend throughout the entire process to ensure their safety and comfort. 🦸‍♀️❤️

Once the scan is complete, we send the results to a Board-Certified Veterinary Radiologist for review, and you’ll have the findings in just 1-2 business days! ⏳

Let's celebrate Wren, the super senior toy poodle! At 15 years old, Wren is a cherished member of the Brammer family. She loves napping on the back of the couch💤 and can't resist a treat of chicken. Her favorite toy is any Kong with peanut butter remnants, and her family loves watching her get the zoomies. Wren has always been a good girl, never naughty, and it was love at first sight when the Brammers adopted her. She's the happiest old lady, bringing joy and love to her family every day. Let's put the spotlight on Bullseye, the seven-year-old Bull Terrier mix! Bullseye adores long walks and snuggling on the couch with his owner.

One of Hailey’s favorite memories with Bullseye is when he showed his new sense of comfort by cuddling on the couch with her. It's those heartwarming moments that truly make the bond between them special. However, Bullseye's mischievous side came out when he decided to explore the garbage can!

Hailey's journey with Bullseye began when she fostered him through 4 Luv of Dog Rescue in September 2023. A month later, she couldn't resist his charms and officially adopted him into her loving home. Bullseye has undoubtedly brought so much love and happiness into her life. Here's to Bullseye, the cuddly couch buddy with a mischievous streak! 🐾🐶💕

Bullseye's playful nature and affectionate personality has made him a beloved member of the family. Whether he's chasing after tennis balls or enjoying a spoonful of peanut butter, his enthusiasm is contagious. His energy and love for life remind everyone around him to appreciate the simple joys.

Val is an amazing and multi-talented individual! From managing the veterinary office to owning a furry family of two Labrador retrievers and four mini Dachshunds, she's truly a pet lover at heart. Her goal of self-training one of her dogs to an AKC Master Hunter title shows her dedication and passion for her pets.

It's fascinating to learn that Val is a published poet and has a hidden talent for creative writing. Her love for literature and creativity shines through in her work. And who would have thought she enjoys eating Lucky Charms with orange juice instead of milk? That's definitely a unique twist on breakfast!

Visiting Stratford, Ontario, Canada, the birthplace of Shakespeare, must have been a dream come true for Val. The rich history and artistic atmosphere of the place probably inspired her creative side even more. Her favorite advice to never lose hope is truly uplifting and shows her optimistic outlook on life.

Val's love for her dogs is heartwarming, and it's clear that they bring her immense joy every day. Her choice of having an unlimited supply of dog food, apart from money, just goes to show her unwavering dedication to her furry companions. Guinea pigs have some interesting dental features! Here are a few fun facts about their teeth:

1. **Continuously Growing Teeth**: Guinea pigs' teeth never stop growing. They need to gnaw on things constantly to keep their teeth at a manageable length. This type of tooth is called hypsodont.

2. **No Canine Teeth**: Unlike many other animals, guinea pigs don't have canine teeth. They have a set of 20 teeth, including incisors, premolars, and molars.

3. **Malocclusion**: This is a common dental issue in guinea pigs where their teeth don't align properly. It can cause difficulty in eating and requires veterinary attention.

🐾Taz is a three-year-old heeler mix who was adopted in July of 2021. He has a ton of energy and absolutely loves playing fetch🥎. One of his favorite treats is horse hooves, which he can never get enough of. The owners' favorite moments with Taz are all the ranger rides they take together, enjoying the outdoors ⛺️ and spending quality time together. However, Taz has had his naughty moments too, with the naughtiest being when he decided to defecate on the couch💩! Despite that, he's a beloved member of the family and brings a lot of joy and fun into their lives.🐾

Daisy is a 15-year-old American Eskimo who has been bringing joy to the Schaub family since she was adopted at 8 years old. She absolutely loves food puzzles, long walks, peanut butter, apples and her beloved Lambchop toy. One of her owners’ favorite memories is of Daisy enjoying a kayak ride at 12-years old- she was a natural!🚣‍♀️
Daisy is not just sweet; she has a mischievous side too. Her naughtiest moment? Getting on the dinner table and finding herself neck-deep in a bucket of fried chicken!🍗

As the school year begins, don’t forget about your furry family members! Here are some tips to help keep them safe and happy:
1️⃣ Transition Slowly – Pets can become anxious when routines change, so gradually adjust their schedule to match the new school routine.🕰️
2️⃣ Watch Those Backpacks – Be mindful of where backpacks are stored, as pets may be curious and get into items like snacks, gum, or medications, which can be toxic to them. Make sure your child knows not to leave lunchboxes or snacks within the pet’s reach. 🍫✏️
3️⃣ Create a Safe Space – Set up a comfortable and quiet area where your pet can relax during the day. A safe space with their bed, toys, and water will help them feel secure when the house is quieter.🛏️🐶
