THE ANCIENT

According to many sources the tibetan mastiff plays a roll in the creation of a lot of our modern breeds. It’s mentioned in passing, as if everyone knows what a tibetan mastiff actually is.
Few do.
Since the birth of the breed, whos origin is hidden in the mists of the Himalayas, it seems more or less unaltered.
The authentic tibetan mastiff that is, not the modern concoction of breeds mashed together into a suit slighly reminiscent of a tibetan mastiff, or more lika a parody of one - the chinese mastiff.
But in the authentic tibetan mastiff lies something so hard to explain to others who have never had contact with the breed; something wild lingers, something rough and feral.
Some will shy back from it and deem the breed unfit for our modern society, some will be drawn in, absorbed, and change their way of life to suit the ancient, to suit the origin and the wild.

To live with a tibetan mastiff is not easy or even fun if you expect the breed to adapt and fall into line, but give it your heart, a suitable setting and respect their origin and you will get a glance of ages past.

The ancient is what he is, and like a tree in the forest you grow around the boulder if you want to be close to it. You do not try to change him. He changes you.

We are excited to share that two of our sweet girls had puppies!

Lottie had a litter of 5 with 1 gold boy and 4 black & tan girls, all of which are healthy and strong!

Not long after, with a rough delivery and some unexpected complications, Serene had 2 healthy puppies (a gold boy and black & tan girl) but, sadly lost the other 2.

They are all perfect 😍
