Proceed with caution.. I received a message from a lady asking for information about my babies. She says she lives in Indianapolis and is it okay if her husband messages me.
I told her sure but the situation feels kind of sketchy. He messages me, immediately wants to send a deposit but needs my home address.
I continued asking my normal questions. Do you have kids, live in a house with a fence, have prior French Bulldog experience, have a veterinarian that can give you a reference etc…
Only answers that his wife has experience with Frenchies.
I asked for his name, address, phone number and drivers license number to write up an agreement after he answers my questions.
What do you know, the messages stop and she deleted her page.
What is wrong with people. Like I’m just going to hand out my information so you can rob me.

As per usual, I can never do things the easy way. 🤣 As most of you know, over a year ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 non alcoholic liver cirrhosis. The only viable treatment option is a liver transplant. At that time, I didn’t meet the criteria to be put on a transplant list.
Fast forward 6 mos and I was referred to a cardiac surgeon to discuss options for blockages. I was advised that surgery wasnt an option due to the fact my liver would fail.
So here we are about 6 mos later and my Liver specialist advised me to have the heart surgery while I’m stable because If my heart or liver fails now, neither can help me.
Don and I spoke with the cardiac surgeon and he’s agreed to do the surgery 9/12. Once I’m past that, I’ll be put on the Liver transplant list. 🙏🏻 I’m looking forward to getting through all of this and on the road to recovery.
The other painful decision I’ve had to make is retiring from breeding. Having 2 litters while going through all of this has been a bit much for me to handle. The worry and lack of sleep are taking a toll and shown me that I need to focus on healing.

I’ll be posting pics of both litters and Breeding supplies.
Jayla and Mr Clean babies are now 3 weeks old (4 girls) DNA is going out this week. All will carry testable, some velvet bigropes and a couple other surprises.
Marilyn and Americanas litter is 1 week old. 3 boys 1 girl. Some fluffy big rope Carrie’s pink babies. DNA is going out this week.

Everybody bow your heads...Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you as humbly as I know how. I confess my sins, known and unknown. Lord you know I'm not perfect, and I fall short everyday of my life. I just want to take time out to say thank you for your mercy and your grace. Thank you for my health, my family, my friends, the roof over my head, food on my table, and everything I have. Copy if you're feeling blessed too. No matter what it looks like He still blesses me!!

Thoughts and opinions please…

I recently attended a dog show and stopped at 3 booths that brought puppies to the show to sell. When asking for information, I was surprised that not 1 of the 3 did dna health testing or tested for color. 1 in particular wasn’t even aware that her creams were pied.
So my question is, when a breeder wants to get a booth, do you think the person running the show should have pre screening questions before allowing them to exhibit their puppies/dogs?
I personally think that all dogs/puppies should be health tested at a minimum. Preferably coat and color as well.
They should also ask that all dogs/puppies be utd on all age appropriate vaccines. I know it would be tedious to ask for proof of vaccinations but at least ask the question or make it a standard show requirement.
As for myself, I never let any of my dogs walk the show or use the common potty areas. I may be overly cautious but with so many “breeders” cutting corners, I worry about what they could be exposed to.

I know it’s easy for me to say, as I’ve never hosted a show. I just feel like in respect of the breeders still trying to do things the right way, that the standards for an exhibitor need to raised and enforced.

Very few times in my life have I felt like something lived up to the hype. However, Don and I traveled to a dog show in Dallas to deliver puppies to a dear friend.
I had a ridiculous amount of Marriot points available, so I decided to surprise Don and use a chunk to stay at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Dallas for the night.
I am beyond impressed. The staff was very friendly, the hotel room is gorgeous and the $12 gummy bear snack from the room stash was delicious. It’s 3:00pm and I’ve been lounging in the bathtub for about 30 minutes. 😂 Almost time to step out and put on my complimentary robe and slippers. 😂
I hope you all are having as great a day as I am. (Or should I say y’all for my TX friends).
