This is one special lady! Moosa was rescued from horrible circumstances years ago, and has been living her best life. She’s in need of some extra TLC now, and regular massage therapy is an excellent choice! She pretty much immediately knew how to “assume the position!”

Mikey is quite a senior horse at 27 years old. He is in great shape though, and doesn’t look a day over 21! This lovely gentleman still participates in riding lessons and therapy sessions with hippotherapy. Keeping him active and “working” is good for his muscles, but all of us of a certain age can appreciate the need for a good massage to loosen things up now and again. He had excellent releases (second photo) toward the end of his session.

My love of animals comes from both of my parents. This past week, my mom earned her final rest, and I’m sure is loving being with all of her beloved pets from throughout her life. She was enormously proud and interested in my relatively new business ventures, and continued to ask about it, even in her last days. So much of the work I do at Forward Motion Therapeutics and Pooches and Hooves would not be possible without the phenomenal Marcy Tocker and her visions/work at Grey Muzzle Manor. Diego is the youngest THIRTEEN year old GSD I’ve ever seen! His regular massages help his aging joints and muscles feel good so he can keep up his daily active routine on the farm. He’s the best!!

I have the privilege of working with Captain for both massage work and physical therapy sessions that include hippotherapy techniques. He’s not a spring chicken, and has some senior horse bone and joint issues. But he is spectacular with our PT clients, and the massages help keep him in his best form!

Marcy Tocker and her amazing vision of Grey Muzzle Manor was the first contact I made after getting my canine and equine massage certifications. Later we kind of accidentally found out we both had an interest and desire to work with adaptive riding and hippotherapy. I am so excited to continue to work together in these ventures! Totally stole this quote from a New Years 2018 post. And wow, so much has changed since then - but the quote? That remains the same. Surprises are parts of life we cannot hide from - and we can for sure tru! Sometimes they are positive and like watching a picture get more and more colored in. Sometimes they feel like a foundation is crumbling and all you thought you could stand on seems not so sturdy. We have two choices - run and hide or stand in the face of it with bravery, gratitude, and vulnerability.

Thank you for being a part of a solid and trusted foundation this past year. I am so grateful that I know, regardless, the Grey Muzzle Manor family will always be there through growth, dreams, and surprises.

Always appreciative of clients who have superior camera skills than I! BaLoo was sooooo patient and appreciative of his very first massage for his aching spasms and tight muscles. He had great releases and was much more supple at the end of his session. ❤️🐴❤️

BaLoo LOVED his massage yesterday from Auntie Lisa from Pooches and Hooves! He was a little sore and now he’s feeling his best again!
