Over the past 6+ months we’ve had a couple pups staying at camp with us. From two very different yet equally hard situations. For these folks we didn’t charge.

Murphy’s dad struggled with addiction and found help for himself. Two weeks ago dad came and picked him up. For those of us that have lost a family member or friend to addiction, we are all so very proud of you for making this change for yourself and your family 💕

Yesterday Moose left us to head back to his family with dad who was serving overseas with our armed forces. Without families like Moose’s our family wouldn’t be able to help families like Murphy’s. For this and so many other reasons we will always be indebted to Moose’s family and so many others like his. 🇺🇸

I also want to give a shout out to Mystic Dog Grooming in Banks for making time to give Moose a fresh new coat for his ride home back to his baby sister.

I’m looking for help to find a wonderful older couple a medium/medium large sized dog they can walk. They are already looking online and shelters, but I want to see if anyone here has any leads that wouldn’t as much “blind choosing” as searching from ground zero.

This might be true at home. But the past few days I’ve closed the door and turned the heat back on mid day for a few hours. THE DOGS ARE NOT HAPPY WITH ME. It’s not too far off really of when I call the human kids back in from sledding 🤦‍♀️🤣😜

After a rough few weeks it’s good to be back out on walks with my neighbor and friend. The dogs just love coming to the intersection where we meet her 🐶.

Good news is that I’ve gotten rid of my appendix and all the bits and pieces it tried to leave behind when it burst. So that won’t happen again. 🙄

All thanks to the amazing docs and nurses that scrubbed my insides and all those scientists with their amazing antibiotics!!

Last week we welcomed Moose into our pack for the next several months while his dad is on deployment. He is such a great guy, takes after his dad I am sure.

We don’t charge our families for this service as they are already sacrificing plenty. If you ever know of a soldier headed into deployment and afraid to lose their fur family, please let them know we are here for them alongside Dogs on Deployment and NW Battle Buddies if there is a need for when they return.
