Looking back on this page, it’s crazy how much I’ve learned over the years. Some of it, I’m like “why, JD?!?” But I keep it around to remind me where I came from. I will always strive to improve my knowledge and skill set. One thing that hasn’t changed is that I want to give my dogs the best life I possibly can.

UPDATE: 13 puppies raised together. Today it rained hard all day. Completely flooded my yard and pool. We have been stuck inside all day. All of us even me just crated up. But guess what y’all? Not one mess 💩 today! Everyone held it from Midnight til 4pm when we could finally get out there to go potty. Omg y’all! I felt like crying they are doing so good. I opened up my crates and let everyone dog pile on me and we just hugged and rolled around on the ground and I was just trying to let them know that they made me so happy! Thank you ALL for the outpouring of support and help! This has definitely been the hardest thing I’ve ever done! My gosh y’all. This is going to be the most impressive Rottweiler pack in the country.

We got 100 square feet of artificial turf to hold us over in the puppy yard while our grass seed comes in this month. Needless to say they are stoked.

Is Mountain a good boy or what?

Protip #4. Never free feed. Free feeding is really bad because you lose out on the opportunity to bond with your dog, and honestly a lot of the behavioral issues I see stem from free-feeding. Instead measure their daily food out and feed them twice a day breakfast and dinner and make them obey in order to get their food.

Exercise, Discipline and LOVE!

Rottweiler puppy swim training. Encouraging Arya Von Bear to come via swimming. The pool is a great way to get the dogs some exercise and burn some of that energy they have. We use this as an alternative to walking when the concrete is too hot in the middle of a hot Texas day.
