PSA ‼️Important message from AB Sebastian Pet Salon.

A mysterious dog respiratory illness is going around. It resembles kennel cough and is quickly escalating to pneumonia. Here is what we are doing to limit chances of exposure and spread.
- Dogs must be up to date on vaccines.
- Using biothane grooming loops and leashes. Biothane is antimicrobial and one of the easiest materials to sanitize.
- Every loop and leash gets sanitized between uses
- Pawmats are on all the tables. Pawmats are antimicrobial mats specifically for grooming. They do not hold moisture or bacteria.
- Every pawmat is disinfected between pets.
- Mopping high traffic areas through the day
- No dog to dog contact ever
- Every kennel is sanitized 3 different times between use of pets following vet recommend guidelines and cleaning solutions.
- Every tub is sanitized between each pet
- Grooming equipment is cleaned and sanitized with an ultrasonic cleaner
- Asking parents to pick up on time, limiting dog quantities in the building throughout the day.
Please note many if not all of these procedures have already been in place and apart of our daily routine here at AB Sebastian Pet Salon. We pride ourselves in the care of your pet and are taking this outbreak very seriously. If your pet resembles any symptoms we are asking you to cancel your appointment. Any and all fees will be waived. If you bring your pet and they are resembling even the smallest of symptoms they will be sent home and a fee will be due. We have been in contact with several vets and are following their recommendations closely. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Mia came to see me for her 2nd puppy trim. These first few grooms are an important introduction to all the smells and sounds and different sensations she will experience while being groomed. These are also crucial appointments for your new fur baby to get comfortable with her groomer. 🫶🏼 it can definitely be a slow process but I recommend introducing grooming as early as you can.

I might not always remember to get an “after” photo…but I bet I took a rubber ducky bathtime one! 😂🫶🏼 behind each photo…your groomer (me) is giggling like a 6 year old. I love getting these 🫶🏼🤭😂

I always strive for a “perfect” cut and I typically don’t share pictures of the grooms I’m not totally proud of… Lucy’s little face was such a challenge to try to trim up…she just did not want any part of it! So we look a little shaggy 😂 But…I would much rather have a happy dog than a “perfect” looking dog. Even though.. I think she looks “perfect” 🩷
